Abstract:The article discusses the use of the methodology of reengineering in investment and construction activities. In this regard, a retrospective of reengineering is investigated, a definition of this concept is given, and directions for its use in investment and construction activities are established. At the corporate level, there are three types of reengineering: business-processes, technological processes and capital construction projects. Reengineering activity, except a functional view horizontally, can be qualified vertically, where its hierarchy is manifested, and also grouped according to the signs of territorial zoning. It is noted that a specific type of reengineering is the reengineering of territories and buildings. It is noted that a specific type is the reengineering of territories and buildings. Considering the industry level as the highest level in the hierarchy, the possible options for initiating "top-down" reengineering and "bottom-up" reengineering are established, and factors affecting this process are identified. The article provides charts and tables for the distribution of reengineering types on the time scale of investment and construction activities, the distribution of participants in investment and construction activities by types of reengineering, as well as the hierarchy of reengineering activities and the variability of regulatory actions.
