Abstract:After dedicating 5 years as an Associate Technical Editor and 2 years as an Associate Editor-in-Chief, I am truly honored and humbled to assume the leadership role for the next chapter of IEEE Communications Magazine. I have had the distinct pleasure of collaborating with the esteemed past Editor-in-Chiefs, Dr. Antonio Sanchez-Esguevillas, Dr. Tarek S. El-Bawab, and Dr. Osman Gebizlioglu, over the past seven years. Their dedication and hard work in upholding the quality and integrity of IEEE Communications Magazine have been inspiring. Thanks to the strong leadership and great efforts of the past Editor-in-Chiefs, editors, reviewers, readers, and ComSoc publications staff, IEEE Communications Magazine has reached a great achievement with an impact factor of 11.2 as of 2023. As we move forward, building upon the solid foundation laid by our past Editor-in-Chiefs and editors, I plan to continue elevating the magazine's intellectual quality, scientific impact, and visibility. More particularly, I plan to further focus on enhancing the magazine's quality, impact, and influence, keeping the magazine at the forefront of the communications field; promoting diversity and inclusion across various aspects, including technical areas, industry, academia, geography, gender, seniority, and more; and increasing more industry engagement in magazine's contents, editorship, authorship, and readership. I look forward to working closely with the authors, reviewers, editors, and the ComSoc support staff, to maintain the magazine's highest standards and long-term growth.
