Abstract: The $L_p$-Minkowski problem deals with the existence of closed convex hypersurfaces in $\mathbb{R}^{n+1}$ with prescribed $p$-area measures. It extends the classical Minkowski problem and embraces several important geometric and physical applications. The Existence of solutions has been obtained in the sub-critical case $p>-n-1$, but the problem remains widely open in the super-critical case $p<-n-1$. In this paper, we introduce new ideas to solve the problem for all the super-critical exponents. A crucial ingredient in our proof is a topological method based on the calculation of the homology of a topological space of ellipsoids.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the existence of ground state solutions to the following p-Laplacian equation in some dimension $N\geq3$ with an $L^2$ constraint: \begin{equation*} \begin{cases} -\Delta_{p}u+{\vert u\vert}^{p-2}u=f(u)-\mu u \quad \text{ in } \mathbb{R}^N,\\ {\Vert u\Vert}^2_{L^2(\mathbb{R}^N)}=m,\\ u\in W^{1,p}(\mathbb{R}^N)\cap L^2(\mathbb{R}^N), \end{cases} \end{equation*} where $-\Delta_{p}u=div\left( {\vert\nabla u\vert}^{p-2}\nabla u \right)$, $2\leq p<N$, $f\in C(\mathbb{R},\mathbb{R})$, $m>0$, $\mu\in\mathbb{R}$ will appear as a Lagrange multiplier and the continuous nonlinearity $f$ satisfies mass supercritical conditions. We mainly study the behavior of ground state energy $E_m$ with $m>0$ changing within a certain range and aim at extending nonlinear scalar field equation when $p=2$ and reducing the constraint condition of nonlinearity $f$.

Abstract:In this paper, for dimension N >= 2 and prescribed mass m > 0, we consider the following nonlinear scalar field equation with L-2 constraint: {-Delta u + V (x)u + lambda u = g(u) in R-N, integral(RN) u2 = m, where lambda is an element of R is a Lagrange multiplier, V(x) is an element of C-1(R-N, R). In particular, g(x) is an element of C(R, R) satisfies mass supercritical and Sobolev subcritical growth. We prove the existence results of the normalized solution and infinitely many normalized solutions to the above system under some proper assumptions on the functions V(x), g(x) by the mountain pass argument.

Abstract:\noindent We are concerned with positive normalized solutions $(u,\lambda)\in H^1(\mathbb{R}^2)\times\mathbb{R}$ to the following semi-linear Schrödinger equations $$ -\Delta u+\lambda u=f(u), \quad\text{in}~\mathbb{R}^2, $$ satisfying the mass constraint $$\int_{\mathbb{R}^2}|u|^2\, dx=c^2\ .$$ We are interested in the so-called mass mixed case in which $f$ has $L^2$-subcritical growth at zero and critical growth at infinity, which in dimension two turns out to be of exponential rate. Under mild conditions, we establish the existence of two positive normalized solutions provided the prescribed mass is sufficiently small: one is a local minimizer and the second one is of mountain pass type. We also investigate the asymptotic behavior of solutions approaching the zero mass case, namely when $c\to 0^+$.

Abstract:We study the following nonlinear mass supercritical Schrödinger–Poisson–Slater equation satisfying the normalized constrain , and prescribed. The nonlinearity f is super-critical. Under some mild assumptions, we establish the existence of ground state and infinitely many radial solutions by constructing a particular bounded Palais-Smale sequence when . Meanwhile, we obtain the non-existence result in the case and the existence result when via variational methods.

Abstract:Consider a quasi-linear system of two Klein–Gordon equations with masses m1, m2. We prove that when m1≠2m2 and m2≠2m1, such a system has global solutions for small, smooth, compactly supported Cauchy data. This extends a result proved by Sunagawa (J. Differential Equations 192 (2) (2003) 308) in the semi-linear case. Moreover, we show that global existence holds true also when m1=2m2 and a convenient null condition is satisfied by the nonlinearities.

Using Pohozaev manifold and the concentration-compactness principle, we obtain a couple of the normalized solution to $ (P_m) $. The main contribution is related to the fact that we extend the results of L. Jeanjean, S. Lu published in 2020 on Calc. Var. [21] concerning the above problem from Sobolev subcritical setting to Sobolev critical setting, and our results answer an open problem raised by N. Soave published in 2020 on J. Funct. Anal. [37].
Normalized solutions of $L^2$-supercritical NLS equations on noncompact metric graphs

Abstract:We consider the existence of normalized solutions to nonlinear Schrödinger equations on noncompact metric graphs in the $L^2$ supercritical regime. For sufficiently small prescribed mass ($L^2$ norm), we prove existence of positive solutions on two classes of graphs: periodic graphs, and noncompact graphs with finitely many edges and suitable topological assumptions. Our approach is based on mountain pass techniques. A key point to overcome the serious lack of compactness is to show that all solutions with small mass have positive energy. To complement our analysis, we prove that this is no longer true, in general, for large masses. To the best of our knowledge, these are the first results with an $L^2$ supercritical nonlinearity extended on the whole graph and unraveling the role of topology in the existence of solutions.

Abstract:In this paper, by utilizing a newly established variational principle on convex sets, we provide an existence and multiplicity result for a class of semilinear elliptic problems defined on the whole $\mathbb R^N$ with nonlinearities involving sublinear and superlinear terms. We shall impose no growth restriction on the nonlinear term and consequently our problem can be super-critical by means of Sobolev spaces.

Abstract:We study the existence, non-existence and multiplicity of prescribed mass positive solutions to a Schrödinger equation of the form \begin{equation*} -\Delta u+\lambda u=g(u), \quad u \in H^1(\mathbb{R}^N), \, N \geq 1. \end{equation*} Our approach permits to handle in a unified way nonlinearities $g(s)$ which are either mass subcritical, mass critical or mass supercritical. Among its main ingredients is the study of the asymptotic behaviors of the positive solutions as $\lambda\rightarrow 0^+$ or $\lambda\rightarrow +\infty$ and the existence of an unbounded continuum of solutions in $(0, + \infty) \times H^1(\mathbb{R}^N)$.

We consider the existence and asymptotic behavior on mass of positive solutions to the following system −Δu + λ1u = μ1u3 + α1|u|p−2u + βv2u in R4, −Δv + λ2v = μ2v3 + α2|v|p−2v + βu2v in R4, under the normalized mass constraints ∫R4u2 = a21 and ∫R4v2 = a22, where a1, a2 are prescribed, μ1, μ2, β > 0, α1, α2 ∈ R, p ∈ (2, 4) and λ1, λ2 ∈ R appear as Lagrange multipliers. Firstly, we establish a non-existence result for the repulsive interaction case, i.e., αi < 0(i = 1, 2). Then turning to the case of αi > 0(i = 1, 2), if 2 < p < 3, we show that the problem admits a ground state and an excited state. Moreover, we give a precise asymptotic behavior of these two solutions as (a1, a2) → (0, 0) and a1 ~ a2. This seems to be the first contribution regarding the multiplicity as well as synchronized mass collapse behavior of normalized solutions to Schrödinger systems with Sobolev critical exponent. When 3 ≤ p < 4, we prove an existence as well as a non-existence (p = 3) results of ground states. Abstract:We obtain threshold results for the existence, non-existence and multiplicity of normalized solutions for semi-linear elliptic equations in the exterior of a ball. To the best of our knowledge, it is the first result in the literature addressing this problem for the supercritical case. In particular, we show that the prescribed mass can affect the number of normalized solutions and has a stabilizing effect in the mass supercritical case. Furthermore, in the threshold we find a new exponent when , which does not seem to have played a role for this equation in the past. Moreover, our findings are "quite surprising" and completely different from the results obtained on the entire space and on balls. We will also show that the nature of the domain is crucial for the existence and stability of standing waves. As a foretaste, it is well-known that in the supercritical case these waves are unstable in In this paper, we will show that in the exterior domain they are strongly stable.

Abstract:SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis, Volume 56, Issue 2, Page 1727-1769, April 2024. We consider the [math]-critical nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLS) with the delta potential [math] where [math] and [math] is the Dirac delta distribution at [math]. Local well-posedness theory, together with the sharp Gagliardo–Nirenberg inequality and the conservation laws of mass and energy, implies that the solution with mass less than [math] is global existence in [math], where [math] is the ground state of the [math]-critical NLS without the delta potential (i.e., [math]). We are interested in the dynamics of the solution with threshold mass [math] in [math]. First, for the case [math], such a blow-up solution exists due to the pseudoconformal symmetry of the equation and is unique up to the symmetries of the equation in [math] from Merle [Duke Math. J., 69 (1993), pp. 427–454] and recently in [math] from Dodson [arXiv:2104.11690, 2021]. Second, for the case [math], a simple variational argument with the conservation laws of mass and energy implies that even solutions with threshold mass exist globally in [math]. Finally, for the case [math], we show the existence of even threshold solutions with blow-up speed determined by the sign (i.e., [math]) of the delta potential perturbation since the refined blow-up profile to the rescaled equation is stable in a precise sense. The key ingredients here, including the Energy–Morawetz argument and the compactness method as well as modulation analysis, are close to the original one in Raphaël and Szeftel [J. Amer. Math. Soc., 24 (2011), pp. 471–546].
