Abstract:Comprehending the factors that propel green innovation capacities is imperative for the advancement of the logistics sector. This study assesses the logistics sector's potential for green innovation in 31 Chinese provinces and cities and pinpoints the variables that affect it. The findings indicate that the logistics sector's level of green innovation capacity continues to rise, with the western region—which is less economically developed—growing at the fastest rate. This is because there is a lot of room for expansion and a limited base in that region. The logistics sector's green innovation capacity exhibits a robust positive geographical correlation; yet, the distribution of this ability's development is uneven across different regions. Capacity for green innovation is greatly influenced by a range of factors, consisting of the state of the economics, government backing, industrial structure, industry agglomeration, opening up, environmental governance, and creative talent. In order to increase the logistics industry's capacity for green innovation, we highlight the possibilities for quickening the pace of the green transition, developing innovative regional logistics solutions, and cultivating subject-matter expertise.
