Abstract:India's rise in the global arena, particularly within the context of an emerging multipolar world system, is a subject of profound interest and analysis. This paper explores India's strategic initiatives and diplomatic maneuvers through an Asian-centric lens, focusing on key areas of study that illuminate its trajectory towards global prominence. Firstly, it focuses to India's burgeoning influence in Asian countries, tracing the evolution of its relationships and partnerships as it navigates the complexities of a multipolar world. Through strategic alliances and economic cooperation, India has positioned itself as a pivotal player in shaping the dynamics of regional and global affairs. Secondly, it examines India's Maritime Security Strategy encapsulated in the SAGAR Doctrine (Security and Growth for All in the Region), which underscores India's commitment to fostering stability, security, and prosperity in the Indian Ocean region. This doctrine represents a proactive approach towards safeguarding maritime interests and promoting cooperative security measures in the Indo-Pacific. Thirdly, the paper explores India's strategic engagement with the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) in the maritime sector, emphasizing its commitment to enhancing maritime security, trade, and connectivity among member states. India's proactive involvement in IORA reflects its broader vision of fostering a secure and prosperous maritime domain in the Indian Ocean region. In fourth, it investigates India's "going global" strategy within the framework of BRICS highlighting its efforts to strengthen multilateral cooperation and promote shared development agendas. Through BRICS, India aims to amplify its voice on the global stage and forge synergies with like-minded nations. In fifth, part the paper explores India's global economic strategic framework, particularly focusing on the India-Middle East Economic Corridor (IMEC), delineating its significance in enhancing economic ties and energy security between India and the Middle Eastern nations. Finally, the paper analyzes India's innovative use of fintech diplomacy, particularly through the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), to enhance international economic inclusiveness. It also addresses the challenges hindering India's seamless integration into the multipolar world and offers recommendations to optimize its strategic pursuits. Ultimately, the research underscores the significance of an Asian-centric approach in shaping India's trajectory on the global stage and fostering cooperation with regional and global partners.
