Abstract:Based on the National Undergraduate Engineering Training Integration Ability Competition, this paper analyses the working principle of the S-track carbon-free car, and introduces its structural design from power conversion mechanism, transmission mechanism, driving mechanism, steering mechanism, chassis and so on. The main parameters of the S shaped track carbon free car were optimized. And the MATLAB software is used to test the trajectory of the car. At the same time, some new design ideas are given in terms of winding rod scheme, fine-tuning mechanism design, bearing seat design optimization and so on. And through debugging, it is proved that the car can run steadily and has high reliability.

Abstract:Based on the new rules of the 4th national college students’ engineering and comprehensive training ability competition, established three-dimensional model using software UG NX, designed a kind of “S” type carbon-free,it can adapt to various poles’ distance and easy assembling and debugging.Focus on variable pitch mechanism and steering mechanism’s designing, and by motion simulation verify its rationality, the simulation analysis showed the car trajectory accords with a requirement. Finally,processed parts,assembled and debugged of the cars.Practice has proved that the design of the car conform to the requirements of the game, is reasonable, assembling outfit is convenient, easy to debug, can meet the requirements of a variety of stem from, smooth finish and get good grades.

Abstract:The carbon-free car is driven by gravity potential energy, through the mechanism to complete the specific direction control and avoid obstacles, to achieve the driving purpose of the car. The event is a national science and technology innovation activity project organized by relevant departments. It is a competition that demonstrates the engineering training and comprehensive ability of college students. Based on the "S" and "8" glyphs around the pile competition, a new circular track was added, and the track was randomly set with intermittent barrier walls and up and down ramps. Small cars that do not have the ability to climb and do not have speed control on the upper and lower ramps make it difficult to complete the race. To this end, for the content of the new project, the automatic speed reduction mechanism for the carbon-free car downhill is developed. Under the condition that the gravitational potential energy of the carbon-free car on the downhill is constant, the stall phenomenon at the time of downhill is effectively solved, the safe driving speed is adjusted, avoid the problem of out of control when escaping the intermittent barrier wall on the circular track.

Abstract:Smart car is an academic competition held for cultivating college students' engineering ability in China for 16 years. To improve the performance of smart cars, this study integrates engineering education topics by introducing a smart car system with regard to the selection of key components, design of hardware and circuit boards, processing of sensor signals, as well as assembly, algorithms, and control. After completing this engineering education, students could achieve better results in the academic competition. According to the K model rules of the 16th smart car competition, a self-balancing autonomous tracking bicycle based on steering gear control is designed and developed. A gyroscope is used to detect the posture of the bicycle. It inductively receives the centerline of the track and then combined with the PID control algorithm realizes the autonomous tracking. The whole process from mechanical structure optimization and electronic circuit design to algorithm design, debugging, and competition runs through the CDIO of engineering education, realizing the cultivation of compound engineering innovative abilities.

Abstract:Abstract Vehicle light-weighting is aimed at reducing the curb weight of the vehicle to ensure its strength, safety, and performance, as well as to reduce fuel consumption and exhaust emissions. The use of modern simulation technology in structural optimization design is one of the most important methods to achieve structural lightweight. In this paper, we study the size optimization of the frame structure based on the rules and requirements specified in Formula Student Eclectic China (FSEC), following the race’s rules and requirements, while satisfying the vehicle’s dynamic and static performance requirements. First, a three-dimensional geometric model of the frame structure is developed, and the static and dynamic performance of the frame is simulated using the finite element method. Next, structural size optimization is carried out under the premise of ensuring structural performance. Finally, the feasibility of the optimized structure is evaluated by comparing its performance before and after optimization. The research results show that the final frame structure has been reduced by 7.6 kg and the weight reduction has reached 22.4%. All performance indices meet the requirements of the competition, and a good lightweight effect has been achieved.

Abstract:Abstract The distributed driving system with electric wheel as key feature has become a major research issue in new energy automobile. However, wheel-edge driving system with reducing gear may cause significant increase of unsprung mass due to introduction of motor and reducer, which is negative to the vehicle maneuverability. As a result, this paper proposed a structural design of two stage reduction wheel-edge driving system which can convert unsprung mass into sprung mass, and established 1/4 three degree-of-freedom vertical vibration system model. Through simulation analysis, the effectiveness of such design was verified. Results showed that two stage reduction wheel-edge driving system can effectively suppress vertical vibration amplitude of automobile body, reduce vehicle dynamic tire loads, and increase riding comfort and tire ground adhesion.

Abstract:Based on a maglev experimental line driven by long-stator linear synchronous motors,the design of a vehicle that would run on the line was introduced.The design requirements,materials and structure of the vehicle's chassis and body were expounded.The software package Unigraphics(3D-CAD 3D-CAM software) was used to visually represent the design results.An important part of the vehicle,i.e.levitation cantilever,was analyzed about its mechanical property with the software package ANSYS(FEA software).The analytical results prove that the design of the levitation cantilever meets the requirement.The testing results of the levitation cantilever's mechanical property proved that the analytical results were exact.Finally the photo of the experimental vehicle's chassis was shown.

Abstract:Abstract The suspension design and optimization of Baja car were carried out on the premise of meeting the rules of the race in order to improve the handling stability and ride smoothness of the car. Firstly established the 3 d modelling software UG in suspension system 3 d model, the according to the design of the frame model of hard point ADAMS motion simulation model of motion simulation analysis and optimization selection of parameters, stress suspension system was analyzed by ANSYS, ensure the strength of the car, according to the four-wheel positioning parameters of suspension system and, along with the change of wheel parallel to beat curve using ADAMS/Insight module for parametric curves were optimized. Combined with the design and optimization, the front wheel camber angle changed from 0.81 to 0.68, the caster angle changed from 5.66 to 5.84, the caster angle changed from 6.35 to 6.42, and the front wheel toe angle changed from-1.48 to 0.99, jumping up and down in front wheel track changes reduced from 100 mm to 50 mm, swing arm to connect hard point rise of the front suspension arm Angle smaller, ultimately achieve steering the car light, effectively improve the performance of the car.

Abstract:Two design methods about spare wheel fixed structure in rear floor of a vehicle are analyzed, the advantages and disadvantages of double carlings limited spare wheel fixed structure and single crossbeam limited bracket fixed structure are contrasted and simultaneously the structure design effect is validated by CAE to achieve the body lightweight design. In addition, it also can consult this design method to search better lightweight design method and improve design efficiency, reduce cost for later body parts structure design.

Abstract:In order to make the robot adapt to various complex working conditions and weather conditions, and expand its application scope and scenarios, a new type of wheel-track compound structure robot is proposed, which has multi-motion mode and can realize the free switching between wheeled movement and wheel-track movement. Sprocket chain is used to drive the rotary movement of both sides of wheels of the robot, and the combination of dynamic and static seals is adopted to achieve the protection level of the robot IP65. In this article.the robot's movement patterns are analyzed, the mechanical analysis of the most representative function of climbing stairs under the wheel-track movement mode is carried out, the traction and supporting force of the robot in each stage of climbing stairs is obtained, the theoretical basis for the stability discrimination of robot is provided when the robot is in contact with stairs, and the design of robot structure and control system driving device is optimized. The results show that the robot can climb stairs, surmount obstacles, climb slopes and walk upright, which proves the rationality of the structure design and the stability of the robot under various complex working conditions.

Abstract:This paper focuses on the design and evaluation of hollow frame structures for the development of two-passenger electric vehicles targeted for urban use. The primary problem addressed is the lack of focused research on efficient, lightweight, and safe electric vehicle frame designs, particularly for urban transportation needs. Through 3D simulation and Finite Element Analysis (FEA), this paper successfully develops a hollow frame design with dimensions of 2,148×800×640 mm and a weight of 40.77 kg that meets strength and stiffness criteria. The analysis shows that the design has an adequate safety margin with a safety factor of 2.053e+01. ASTM A36 steel is chosen as the material, balancing strength, stiffness, and cost. The results offer an innovative and practical solution to urban transportation issues, with broad potential applications in the electric vehicle industry. In particular, this study focuses on the specialized needs of urban-centric, two-passenger electric vehicles. The Finite Element Analysis (FEA) used here serves as a robust validation method, effectively reducing the need for extensive physical testing. This accelerates the R&D process and opens possibilities for future studies on alternative materials and dynamic loading conditions. The study's limitations and future research directions are also discussed. Moreover, the study's computational methods offer an eco-friendly alternative to traditional physical prototypes. This aligns with sustainability goals and provides methodologies for future studies. With rising urban populations, the demand for efficient vehicles is increasing. This study paves the way for city-focused, two-passenger electric cars that meet modern urban needs and sustainability goals

Abstract:This paper introduces the design and production process of a full-time four-wheel drive Baja racing car that conforms to the rules of the China Society of Automotive Engineering Baja Competition (2022), including: the determination of design objectives and whole vehicle parameters, as well as the design, production and verification of the frame system, transmission system, suspension system, wheel side mechanism, braking system, steering system, electrical system, etc. CATIA is used to design and assemble the whole vehicle, using simulation After nearly 100 hours of field dynamic testing, the design was optimized and improved according to the actual situation, resulting in a 4WD racing car with high reliability, stability, performance and power.

Abstract:The car has been invented for more than a century. In the 21st century, new cars will realize the function of land and sky bidirectional driving. The author designed a flying concept car, powered by a wheel jet engine, named Dunhuang Feitian. He won the second prize in the Second China University Art Competition. The car is equipped with a “turbine ram engine” inside the four hubs. The aerodynamic layout is designed in a cross shape. The wheel engine jets downwards, which can flexibly adjust the flight attitude. The author did not sacrifice industrial design aesthetics in order to highlight flight performance. He borrowed the beautiful curve contours of Dunhuang Feitian in the body design, designed the car to be streamlined, and equipped with a four-axis stabilization system in safety configuration. performance. Abstract:According to the proposition of the 7th National College Students Engineering Training Comprehensive Ability Competition, the paper systematically clarifies the structural design ideas of the thermally driven vehicle that meets the requirements of the competition, and designs a thermally driven vehicle that can realize autonomous walking accordingly. The core of the vehicle's design is the use of a Stirling engine to convert thermal energy into mechanical energy to power the drive vehicle, which is powered by burning liquid alcohol. This article relates the process of designing the thermally driven vehicle, applying cam as the steering mechanism, gears as the main transmission, and debugs and modifies the actual walking trajectory of the trolley is produced based on the structural design and kinematic simulation.
