What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problem that this paper attempts to solve is how to improve the performance of optoelectronic devices by constructing self - powered ultraviolet photodetectors based on ZnO/CuPc inorganic/organic heterojunctions. Specifically, the researchers hope to use the heterojunction structure between ZnO (an n - type semiconductor) and CuPc (a p - type small - molecule copper (II) phthalocyanine) to prepare high - performance self - powered ultraviolet photodetectors on FTO substrates through simple solution spin - coating and thermal evaporation techniques. This design aims to effectively separate electron - hole pairs through the built - in electric field formed at the heterojunction interface, thereby improving the photoelectric response characteristics of the device and achieving a higher on - off ratio, responsivity, detectivity and quantum efficiency. The key performance indicators mentioned in the paper include: - On - off ratio: approximately 245.88 (approximately 29.88 at 0 V bias) - Responsivity (\(R_p\)): approximately 227.11 mA/W (approximately 0.39 mA/W at 0 V bias) - Detectivity (\(D^*\)): approximately \(7.63\times10^{11}\) Jones (approximately \(7.53\times10^9\) Jones at 0 V bias) - Quantum Efficiency (EQE): approximately 77.23% (approximately 0.14% at 0 V bias) In addition, this device also has potential application value in weak - light detection. Therefore, constructing inorganic/organic heterojunctions may provide a feasible strategy for developing high - performance, self - powered and wavelength - selective photodetectors.
