Abstract:Spine fracture is a serious public health issue, and its morbidity is rising rapidly on a worldwide scale. [ 1–3 ] Spine fracture is primarily osteoporosis vertebral compression fractures, in which the incidence increases significantly with age, [ 4 ] assessing the number of vertebral fractures in the US population at 5.2 million people by 2020, with the overall prevalence increasing from 2.2% to 4.6%. Global population aging is projected to increase further by 2050, accompanied by more fragility fractures. [ 5 , 6 ] Moreover, spine fracture causes serious financial and psychological burdens for patients and their families. [ 7 , 8 ] Therefore, given the demographic changes, it is important to assess the population early and take measures to reduce the incidence of spine fracture.
