Abstract:Through literature,logical reasoning and other methods,this paper elaborates the intension and the significance of coordinating sports culture development in urban and rural areas,and analyses the status and the reasons of the imbalanced development of sports culture in urban and rural areas.The results show:urban-rural dual structure model,the development gap between urban and rural economy,the development gap between urban and rural social undertakings and the development gap between urban and rural cultural and education are the main factors which impact the coordinated development of sports culture in urban and rural areas.It also puts forward some countermeasures which are expected to provide theoretical support and policy reference.

Abstract:To know and develop current rural sports,the paper studied non-sports participants of rural-based small towns residents by adopting the methods of documentary materials,questionnaire,mathematical statistics,etc.,and analyzed the restrictive factors from the sex,age,profession,income, acamedic credentials and traditional culture of non-sports participants.The paper also pointed out suggestions for reducing the rural non-sports participants: establishing community sports institutions,enhancing social management,investing more in sports infrastructure and fostering sports main body on the basis of government's macro-control.
