Abstract:Introduction : Oral health of elderly deserve special attention because it affects public health . Good knowledge of oral hygiene is essential to prevent oral disease . Maintain oral hygiene is one way to maintain body condition of the elderly.Purpose: The purpose of this research was to determine the correlation between knowledge level of elderly with dental oral health in the working area of Health Center Kalisat Jember.Methods: This study used observasional. Sample were taken with 80 elderlys which 50-70 years old who came in 12 elderly posyandu. Data collection is The dental health knowlegde by filling out questionnaire and examination of oral health index with OHI-S index. Statistical analysis was performed with Pearson correlation. Result: The dominant category results of knowledge of dental oral health were obtained that there was 52,5% that in sufficient value, and OHI-S Index (57,5%) in middle category.The results showed that there was correlation between the level of knowledge of dental health with OHI-S index (p< 0,05)Conclucion: The better the level of knowledge of oral health , the better it 's oral hygiene status of the elderly
