Abstract:During the study, a unified synergistic approach was used to make significant progress in understanding the physical nature of fullerene C 60 aqueous colloidal solutions. This dried droplets method complemented significantly the existing scientific picture of aqueous colloidal fullerene systems formation due to the simultaneous carrying out a studies set of the colloidal nanoparticles - clusters C 60 @ { H 2 O } n j main critical characteristics in a single measuring cycle and self-organization processes in wider ranges of measurement scales (1 – 1500 nm): initial concentration ρ 0 ≈ (0.376–7.21)×1012 cm −3, dispersed composition fractality N Σ = N Σ ( d ) (dimension of fractal D f , scaling coefficients ζ and η , freedom degrees M i = M i ( T i ) ) of these clusters, the aggregation kinetics (diffusion nature, D f = 1.00–1.90) and dissociation ( D f = 1.22–1.00, activation energy | E k | ≈ 0.28 eV), internal structure and micromechanical properties (at force level F ≤45 nN), micro-heterogeneity linear dimensions 0.5–12.4 μm. The modern AFM method has made these studies possible, allowing for sufficient accuracy to measure a set of necessary geometric parameters and physical functional characteristics with high spatial resolution at high distances comparable to the size of an aliquot drop. The results verification is carried out using the high-precision calorimetric method DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry) by measuring the specific aliquot drop heat c Vc = c Vc ( T ) of a fullerene aqueous colloidal solution in the studied temperature range T i =24 – 70 °C.
