Abstract:Background: The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic impacted access to inpatient rehabilitation services. At the current state of research, it is unclear to what extent the adaptation of rehabilitation services to infection-protective standards affected patient-centered care in Germany. Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the most relevant aspects of patient-centered care for patients in inpatient rehabilitation clinics under early phase pandemic conditions. Methods: A deductive-inductive framework analysis of online patient reports posted on a leading German hospital rating website, Klinikbewertungen (Clinic Reviews), was performed. This website is a third-party, patient-centered commercial platform that operates independently of governmental entities. Following a theoretical sampling approach, online reports of rehabilitation stays in two federal states of Germany (Brandenburg and Saarland) uploaded between March 2020 and September 2021 were included. Independent of medical specialty groups, all reports were included. Keywords addressing framework domains were analyzed descriptively. Results: In total, 649 online reports reflecting inpatient rehabilitation services of 31 clinics (Brandenburg, n=23; Saarland, n=8) were analyzed. Keywords addressing the care environment were most frequently reported (59.9%), followed by staff prerequisites (33.0%), patient-centered processes (4.5%), and expected outcomes (2.6%). Qualitative in-depth analysis revealed SARS-CoV-2–related reports to be associated with domains of patient-centered processes and staff prerequisites. Discontinuous communication of infection protection standards was perceived to threaten patient autonomy. This was amplified by a tangible gratification crisis of medical staff. Established and emotional supportive relationships to clinicians and peer groups offered the potential to mitigate the adverse effects of infection protection standards. Conclusions: Patients predominantly reported feedback associated with the care environment. SARS-CoV-2–related reports were strongly affected by increased staff workloads as well as patient-centered processes addressing discontinuous communication and organizationally demanding implementation of infection protection standards, which were perceived to threaten patient autonomy. Peer relationships formed during inpatient rehabilitation had the potential to mitigate these mechanisms.

Abstract:Aim of the study: The present work is intended to give an overview of rehabilitation of patients with post COVID-19 condition covered by the German Pension Insurance in 2021. Methods: Cross-sectional analysis of medical rehabilitation completed in 2021, in which COVID-19 sequelae were coded in first or second place in the uniform discharge report according to the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems was carried out. The codes U08(.9), U09(.9) and U10(.9) as well as the corresponding codes from 2020 were taken into the evaluation as COVID-19-related diseases. Children's rehabilitation and oncological rehabilitation for pensioners and their relatives were excluded. Statistically, relative and absolute frequencies are given for nominal and ordinal variables, and median and quartiles for continuous, skewed distributed variables. Results: 9,666 rehabilitations with one of the codes mentioned in first or second place remained. 54.8% of the patients were women and 43.2% men. The median age was 54 and 55 years (women/men). In all, 64.4% of the rehabilitations were carried out in the pulmonary medicine department. Owing to somatic indications, almost 50% of these patients in rehabilitation remained in the clinic beyond the regular approval period. The most common other diagnoses were diseases of the respiratory system. In 80.7% of those affected, the treating physicians considered the post-COVID-19 condition-associated symptoms as improved through rehabilitation. Furthermore, employment was subject to social security contributions for 88.0% of these patients, and 30.5% were employed in the fields of health, social affairs, teaching, and education. Of those affected, 63.8% were on sick leave when they were admitted, 63.0% when they were discharged. With regard to performance in the last job or on the general job market, over 90.0% received a prognosis for 6 hours and more. Conclusion: The importance of post-COVID-19 condition in the context of medical rehabilitation increased significantly over the course of 2021. The disease causes long periods of disability. With regard to performance, the available analyses give a positive picture; only 6.5% of those individuals undergoing rehabilitation were assessed as having a reduced capacity to earn of less than 3 hours on the general labor market.

Abstract:Background: The COVID-19 outbreak necessitated physical distancing, as part of secondary prevention, at a personal and professional level. Working from home (WFH) became increasingly important. In this study, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions on physical and mental health is investigated, compared with pre-pandemic data, and with employees who WFH and are on-site. Methods: Data from the German Saxon longitudinal study population were used. Attitudes towards WFH as well as mental and physical health assessments during the COVID-19 pandemic were examined. Comparisons were made with corresponding pre-pandemic scores and between employees WFH and on-site in 2022. Results: In total, 319 participants with equal gender distribution were included. Of those, 86 worked from home stating better organizability of their work, more time for partnership, less stress, and greater work satisfaction. Compared to pre-pandemic data, the D-score, PHQ-4, G-Score, and PHQ-SSS-8 showed a significant increase. No difference in physical or mental health between employees WFH and on-site was observed. Conclusion: In general, COVID-19 restrictions had a negative impact on mental and physical health. Although WFH is well accepted, it did not show significant health benefits.

Abstract:Ziel der Studie Post-COVID zeichnet sich durch eine große Anzahl verschiedener Symptome aus. Die Indikation für eine medizinische Rehabilitation orientiert sich am Hauptsymptom. Versicherte, die unter Erschöpfung leiden und keine relevante organische Störung aufweisen, werden oft in psychosomatischen Kliniken rehabilitiert. In der vorliegenden Studie soll die Effektivität einer psychosomatischen Rehabilitation bei Patient:innen mit Post-COVID untersucht werden. Methodik 91 Patient:innen mit Post-COVID werden mit 124 Patient;innen mit psychischen Störungen sowie 68 Patient:innen mit Tumorerkrankungen hinsichtlich der Verbesserung der Erschöpfung und der Depressivität sowie hinsichtlich der Zufriedenheit und sozialmedizinischer Parameter verglichen. ErgebnisseDas Ausmaß der Erschöpfung bei Aufnahme unterschied sich zwischen den drei Gruppen nicht und konnte gleichermaßen reduziert werden. Bei Patient:innen mit Post-COVID und hohen Depressionswerten bei Aufnahme war die Erschöpfung auch bei Entlassung im klinisch bedeutsamen Bereich. Der Anteil der Patient:innen mit psychischen Störungen, die eine negative Erwerbstätigkeitsprognose aufweisen, war im Vergleich zu den Patient:innen mit Post-COVID erhöht. DiskussionAuch wenn sich durch eine psychosomatische Rehabilitationsbehandlung die Erschöpfung reduzieren lässt, ist der Anteil der unter Erschöpfung leidenden Patient:innen mit Post-COVID bei Entlassung immer noch hoch. SchlussfolgerungDas Behandlungskonzept zur Rehabilitation von Patient:innen mit Post-COVID muss den oftmals individuellen Verlauf der Erkrankung berücksichtigt werden. Aim of the study Post-COVID is characterized by a large number of different symptoms. The indication for medical rehabilitation is based on the main symptom. Insured individuals who suffer from fatigue and have no relevant organic disorder are often rehabilitated in psychosomatic clinics. In the present study, the effectiveness of psychosomatic rehabilitation in patients with post-COVID will be investigated. Methods 91 patients with post-COVID are compared to 124 patients with mental disorders and 68 patients with cancer regarding the improvement of fatigue and depressiveness as well as satisfaction and socio-medical parameters. Results At admission, the level of fatigue did not differ in the three groups and was equally reduced. Patients with post-COVID and high depression scores at admission had clinically significant levels of fatigue at discharge. The proportion of patients with mental disorders who were discharged with a negative prognosis for employment was significantly increased. Discussion Although psychosomatic rehabilitation can reduce fatigue, the proportion of patients suffering from fatigue with post-COVID at discharge is still high. Conclusion The treatment concept for the rehabilitation of patients with post-COVID must take into account the often individual course of the disease. Abstract:Abstract On March 11th, 2020, the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) was declared a pandemic. Governments took drastic measures in an effort to reduce transmission rates and virus-associated morbidity. This study aims to present the immediate effects of the pandemic on patients presenting in the psychiatric emergency department (PED) of Hannover Medical School. Patients presenting during the same timeframe in 2019 served as a control group. A decrease in PED visits was observed during the COVID-19 pandemic with an increase in repeat visits within 1 month (30.2 vs. 20.4%, p BA = 0.001). Fewer patients with affective disorders utilized the PED (15.2 vs. 22.2%, p BA = 0.010). Suicidal ideation was stated more frequently among patients suffering from substance use disorders (47.4 vs. 26.8%, p BA = 0.004), while patients with schizophrenia more commonly had persecutory delusions (68.7 vs. 43.5%, p BA = 0.023) and visual hallucinations (18.6 vs. 3.3%, p BA = 0.011). Presentation rate of patients with neurotic, stress-related, and somatoform disorders increased. These patients were more likely to be male (48.6 vs. 28.9%, p BA = 0.060) and without previous psychiatric treatment (55.7 vs. 36.8%, p BA = 0.089). Patients with personality/behavioral disorders were more often inhabitants of psychiatric residencies (43.5 vs. 10.8%, p BA = 0.008). 20.1% of patients stated an association between psychological well-being and COVID-19. Most often patients suffered from the consequences pertaining to social measures or changes within the medical care system. By understanding how patients react to such a crisis situation, we can consider how to improve care for patients in the future and which measures need to be taken to protect these particularly vulnerable patients.

Abstract:Post-COVID syndrome is affecting many organ systems and arises as a major public health problem with millions of cases worldwide. The primary aim of this study is the analysis of health problems, activity limitations and participation restrictions (ALPR) of participants with post-COVID symptoms and the investigation of correlations between these elements to derive statements about the rehabilitation need, also depending on sex. A retrospective cohort study was performed to collect longitudinal data from January 2022 to January 2023 using the Covid-19 Rehabilitation Needs Questionnaire (RehabNeQ). Patients completed the questionnaire at the Department of Rehabilitation- and Sports Medicine at Hannover Medical School. The 1st assessment included 307 study participants, of whom 54 showed up for the 2nd, 7 for the 3rd and one for the 4th assessment. Study participants with post-COVID symptoms also experience ALPR. The results show no significant difference in symptom intensity in women and men, but in intensity of ALPR. We found many correlations of varying degrees between various factors with ALPR. We found frequent correlations between fatigue and several ALPR. While these correlations apply to both sexes, we also found different correlations in women and men, indicating the different rehabilitation need of women and men.

Abstract:Background: The COVID-19 pandemic triggered vast governmental lockdowns. The impact of these lockdowns on mental health is inadequately understood. On the one hand such drastic changes in daily routines could be detrimental to mental health. On the other hand, it might not be experienced negatively, especially because the entire population was affected. Methods: The aim of this study was to determine mental health outcomes during pandemic induced lockdowns and to examine known predictors of mental health outcomes. We therefore surveyed n = 9,565 people from 78 countries and 18 languages. Outcomes assessed were stress, depression, affect, and wellbeing. Predictors included country, sociodemographic factors, lockdown characteristics, social factors, and psychological factors. Results: Results indicated that on average about 10% of the sample was languishing from low levels of mental health and about 50% had only moderate mental health. Importantly, three consistent predictors of mental health emerged: social support, education level, and psychologically flexible (vs. rigid) responding. Poorer outcomes were most strongly predicted by a worsening of finances and not having access to basic supplies. Conclusions: These results suggest that on whole, respondents were moderately mentally healthy at the time of a population-wide lockdown. The highest level of mental health difficulties were found in approximately 10% of the population. Findings suggest that public health initiatives should target people without social support and those whose finances worsen as a result of the lockdown. Interventions that promote psychological flexibility may mitigate the impact of the pandemic.
The Long-Term Impact of COVID-19 on Disability after Post-Acute Rehabilitation: A Pilot Study

Abstract:Background: The long-term effect of the 2019 coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is not fully known. Severe cases of COVID-19 have resulted in disability that can be assessed in a biopsychosocial manner with the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health with the World Health Organization Disability Assessment Schedule 2.0 (WHODAS 2.0) questionnaire. This study aimed to evaluate the long-term effects on disability of COVID-19 three years after post-acute rehabilitation using WHODAS 2.0. Methods: This single-center cohort study included patients with severe COVID-19 who underwent immediate post-discharge post-acute rehabilitation intervention. Three years later, patients were assessed via telephone using the WHODAS 2.0 questionnaire. Results: Of the 69 patients identified in the hospital database, 27 responded. A total of 16 patients refused to respond due to emotional distress. The mean age was 63.4 ± 8.6 years, 81.5% were independent in the community, 55.3% had been previously admitted to the ICU, and the median rehabilitation hospitalization duration was 18 (11.5,24) days. Comorbidities included type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) (55.5%), grade 2 high blood pressure (62.9%), pressure ulcers (37%), peripheral neurologic deficits (62.9%), and central neurological deficits (14.8%). ICU admission was significantly correlated with advanced rehabilitation needs (measured by the level of the rehabilitation (p < 0.01) and longer hospitalizations (measured by total days in the hospital (p < 0.001). The overall disability score was 35.09%, significantly influenced by DM and central neurological deficits. Conclusions: Central neurological deficits and DM are associated with higher disability scores. Tailored rehabilitation programs, ongoing medical assessment, integrated care models, and patient education are essential for improving long-term outcomes after COVID-19 disease.

Abstract:The recent outbreak of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) has plunged countries across the world into crisis. Both in the general population and in specific subgroups such as infected people or health care workers, studies have reported increased symptoms of anxiety, depression and stress. However, the reactions of individuals with mental disorders to Covid-19 have largely been neglected. The present study therefore aimed to investigate the perceived impact of Covid-19 and its psychological consequences on people with mental disorders. In this online survey, participants were asked to evaluate their disorder-specific symptoms, perceived psychosocial stress and behaviors related to Covid-19 in the current situation and retrospectively before the spread of Covid-19. The study included participants with self-identified generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), panic disorder and agoraphobia (PA), illness anxiety disorder (IA), social anxiety disorder (SAD), depression (DP), obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD), body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), eating disorders (ED), schizophrenia spectrum and other psychotic disorders (SP), other non-specified mental disorder (other) as well as mentally healthy controls (HC). The results of bayesian parameter estimation suggest that the symptom severity of DP, GAD, IA and BDD has deteriorated as a reaction to Covid-19. Across all mental disorders and HC, self-reported psychosocial stress levels were higher during the outbreak of Covid-19 compared to before. A reduced frequency of social contacts and grocery shopping was found for all participants. People with self-identified mental disorders showed higher personal worries about Covid-19 and a higher fear of contagion with Covid-19 than did HC. According to our findings, Covid-19 may reinforce symptom severity and psychosocial stress in individuals with mental disorders. In times of pandemics, special support is needed to assist people with mental disorders and to prevent symptom deterioration.

Abstract:The COVID‐19 pandemic has led to a global health crisis and a significant increase in psychological distress and psychopathological symptoms. We conducted a randomized controlled trial with two online interventions derived from positive psychology (PP) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) in N = 138 "homestayers" during the first lock‐down period in Germany. PP exercises had a positive impact on anxiety scores, which decreased significantly during the intervention, particularly in participants without access to a garden. Direct or indirect social contact, movement/exercise, and exposure to nature were the most frequently reported helpful coping strategies. We conclude that low‐threshold online interventions with a focus on positive aspects of people's lives may be helpful to support mental health during pandemic crises. From a mental health perspective, the results also reinforce the approach of countries that allow their citizens to, for example, still go for walks during periods of contact restrictions, compared to full lock‐down conditions.

Abstract:The COVID-19 pandemic and associated countermeasures had an immensely disruptive impact on people's lives. Due to the lack of systematic pre-pandemic data, however, it is still unclear how individuals' psychological health has been affected across this incisive event. In this study, we analyze longitudinal data from two healthy samples ( N = 307) to provide quasi-longitudinal insight into the full trajectory of psychological burden before (baseline), during the first peak, and at a relative downturn of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our data indicated a medium rise in psychological strain from baseline to the first peak of the pandemic ( d = 0.40). Surprisingly, this was overcompensated by a large decrease of perceived burden until downturn ( d = − 0.93), resulting in a positive overall effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health ( d = 0.44). Accounting for this paradoxical positive effect, our results reveal that the post-pandemic increase in mental health is driven by individuals that were already facing psychological challenges before the pandemic. These findings suggest that coping with acute challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic can stabilize previously impaired mental health through reframing processes.

Abstract:Introduction The coronavirus pandemic has led to sudden changes in the lives of people around the world. The health threat, earthquakes and epidemiological measures caused certain psychological reactions in everyone. Psychiatric patients are particularly vulnerable to stress, so we were interested in how the changes at the beginning of the pandemic affected their psychological functioning. Objectives To check changes in some areas of psychological functioning of outpatient psychiatric patients after the "lockdown" in 2020 and to examine their connection with some sociodemographic and treatment variables. Methods Patients of the University Psychiatric Hospital Sveti Ivan filled out a survey questionnaire designed for the purpose of research, which consisted of sociodemographic data and items examining different areas of psychological functioning, when they arrived for an outpatient check-up. Results Variables were formed that examine: changes in unpleasant emotions, lack of support, lack of social interaction, changes in performing daily duties, changes in self-help behaviors and health concerns. Statistical analysis showed a significant increase in all variables, with the largest occurring in lack of social interaction, health concerns, and unpleasant emotions. The predictors of changes in psychological functioning were female gender, younger age in combination with cohabitation with parents, and the number of hospitalizations. Conclusions After the "lockdown" in 2020, psychiatric patients report a deterioration in psychological functioning. Disclosure of Interest None Declared

Reductions in inpatient and outpatient mental health care in germany during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic – What can we learn for a better crisis preparedness?

Abstract:Background: During the COVID-19 pandemic, reports from several European mental health care systems hinted at important changes in utilization. So far, no study examined changes in utilization in the German mental health care inpatient and outpatient mental health care system comprehensively. Methods: This longitudinal observational study used claims data from two major German statutory health insurances, AOK PLUS and BKK, covering 162,905 inpatients and 2,131,186 outpatients with mental disorders nationwide. We analyzed changes in inpatient and outpatient mental health service utilization over the course of the first two lockdown phases (LDPs) of the pandemic in 2020 compared to a pre-COVID-19 reference period dating from March 2019 to February 2020 using a time series forecast model. Results: We observed significant decreases in the number of inpatient hospital admissions by 24–28% compared to the reference period. Day clinic admissions were even further reduced by 44–61%. Length of stay was significantly decreased for day clinic care but not for inpatient care. In the outpatient sector, the data showed a significant reduction in the number of incident outpatient diagnoses. Conclusion: Indirect evidence regarding the consequences of the reductions in both the inpatient and outpatient sector of care described in this study is ambiguous and direct evidence on treatment outcomes and quality of trans-sectoral mental healthcare is sparse. In line with WHO and OECD we propose a comprehensive mental health system surveillance to prepare for a better oversight and thereby a better resilience during future global major disruptions.

Mental health in Germany before, during and after the COVID-19 pandemic

Abstract:Based on nationally representative panel data (N person-years=40,020; N persons=18,704; Panel Labour Market and Social Security; PASS) from 2018 to 2022, we investigate how mental health changed during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. We employ time-distributed fixed effects regressions to show that mental health (Mental Health Component Summary Score of the SF-12) decreased from the first COVID-19 wave in 2020 onward, leading to the most pronounced mental health decreases during the Delta wave, which began in August 2021. In the summer of 2022, mental health had not returned to baseline levels. An analysis of the subdomains of the mental health measure indicates that long-term negative mental health changes are mainly driven by declines in psychological well-being and calmness. Furthermore, our results indicate no clear patterns of heterogeneity between age groups, sex, income, education, migrant status, childcare responsibilities or pre-COVID-19 health status. Thus, the COVID-19 pandemic appears to have had a uniform effect on mental health in the German adult population and did not lead to a widening of health inequalities in the long run.

Abstract:Background and Purpose: Considering that only one and a half years have passed since the epidemic of covid-19 and during this period the priority of the health and treatment system has been to pay attention to the symptoms and physical problems of this disease and to prevent its further spread, there is enough evidence about Mental problems caused by Corona are not available. The purpose of this review is to investigate the state of psychological problems caused by Corona among patients and medical staff and also to provide rehabilitation solutions to partially solve this problem. Materials and Methods: Medline and Web of Science, PubMed and Scopus databases were searched by combining keywords related to covid-19 (e.g. coronavirus), restrictive measures (e.g. quarantine, isolation, social distancing) and psychological outcomes (e.g. psychosis, depression). ) and guidelines (such as guidance, management, rehabilitation) were performed. All the articles were written in English and their purpose was about mental disorders and factors related to the corona virus. Considering that only about a year and a half of the Covid-19 pandemic has passed, the period of the reviewed articles was chosen between 2019 and 2021. Findings: In searching for related studies, 18 original articles were considered. Overall, the review of the literature showed that the Covid-19 disease has changed people's lifestyles. In addition to physical symptoms and mortality, this disease also has negative psychological effects such as anxiety, depression, loneliness, stress, fear and excitement. However, in most cases these symptoms are not very severe. Psychological problems can be more severe in certain groups, such as pregnant women or people with underlying problems. In countries that have had a history of facing epidemics, internet-based systems have been formed to evaluate and treat the psychological problems of patients with Covid-19. Rehabilitation interventions can also have a positive effect in improving conditions such as the patient's breathing and help reduce psychological symptoms. Conclusion: In addition to physical symptoms, covid-19 can also cause mental problems for the patient. On the other hand, changes in people's lifestyles following the spread of Covid-19, such as travel restrictions, quarantine, social distancing, and the slowdown of businesses, may also contribute to the occurrence of mental disorders following the spread of Covid-19. Attention should be paid to the psychological problems caused by Covid-19 in some population groups such as pregnant women, medical staff, and children. Rehabilitation interventions and increasing public awareness can be effective in improving psychological symptoms.
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on stress, mental health and coping behavior in German University students – a longitudinal study before and after the onset of the pandemic

Abstract:Abstract Background The COVID-19 pandemic has led to massive restrictions in public and private lives, including a shut-down of face-to-face teaching at universities in Germany. We aimed to examine the impact of these changes on perceived stress, mental health and (study-)related health behavior of students in a longitudinal study. Methods For two timepoints – the year before the COVID-19 pandemic (2019, n = 1377) and the year during the COVID-19 pandemic (2020, n = 1867) – we surveyed students of all faculties at one German university for perceptions and preventive behavior regarding the COVID-19 pandemic using standard instruments for stress, anxiety, depression, and behavior and experience patterns. Results About 90% of students ( n = 1633) in 2020 did not have a known contact infected with SARS-CoV-2, while 180 (9.8%) did have one. Only 10 respondents (0.5%) reported an infection with SARS-CoV-2. Wearing masks and washing hands more often were practiced by ≥80% of students. Taking more care about cleanliness (51.8%) and using disinfectants (39.2%) were practiced much less. A higher percentage of female compared with male students and medical/health science students compared with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics students engaged more frequently in specific or nonspecific preventive measures. More than three quarters (77.1%) of all students rated their general health as (very) good. There were no significant differences in general health, stress, and depression between 2019 and 2020 in the students who responded at both timepoints. The distribution of behavior and experience patterns for this group showed a slight but significant difference from 2019 to 2020, namely decreasing proportions of students with a healthy pattern and a risk pattern for overexertion. Students with different behavior and experience patterns showed marked differences in perceptions and reaction to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as psychosocial stress and symptoms, with higher scores for mental health symptoms and lower scores in preventive behavior regarding risk patterns. Conclusion Despite massive alterations to students’ lives in 2020, there were only moderate consequences for mental health compared with 2019 in the total student group of this German university. However, identifying students at risk would offer opportunities to foster mental health in relevant subgroups.

Abstract:Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated the mental health burden on the general population, resulting in increased demands on mental healthcare professionals, including psychotherapists. This cross-sectional study assessed the challenges and resources encountered by 513 psychotherapists based on an online survey conducted between April and May 2022. Methods: Qualitative methods content analysis of written reports was employed to investigate the emerging challenges and sources of support during the pandemic. A comparative analysis of burdens, resources, sociodemographic factors and daily physical activity was conducted to discern patterns of good and poor well-being. Results: The predominant burden identified was mental health-related issues, followed by global crises and government-imposed restrictions to mitigate virus transmission. Essential resources encompassed social connections, mindfulness, work satisfaction, and internal processes. Notably, psychotherapists demonstrating good well-being were older, more physically active, had a lower proportion of females, were employed in private practices rather than in institutionalized settings, had more years of professional experience and treated more patients weekly than their counterparts with poor well-being. Furthermore, they exhibited greater optimism, health focus, and satisfaction with their coping methods. Discussion: These findings can help develop support systems, policies, and educational programs to better support mental health professionals during global crises and offer strategies for individual practitioners to maintain their well-being.
