Abstract:In order to resolve functional and spatial conflict caused when different benefit main bodies pursue the economic benefit of coastal tourism industry,and avoid coastal tourism resources to be developed in the state of disorder and prevent the decreasing of tourism environment carrying capacity,Coastal tourism functional zoning aims to guarantee scientif ic development and management of coastal tourism industry,and promote its sustainable development Continuously.The paper probes into the principle and basic idea to make the functional region division,and puts forward the index system of functional zoning which including tourism resource environment carrying capacity and the present situation of tourism exploitation and tourism development potential,establishes the model of zoning evaluation.At the same time,it discerns the coastal tourism functions by using cluster analysis method and a three dimension magic cube method.Furthermore,connecting the practical situation of coastal tourism industry development in Chinese mainland,it takes the 53 coastal cities in Chinese mainland as the fundamental spatial units and makes out the functional division involving four concrete main-functional regions which include optimized development and emphases development and guided development and moderate development,and then the functional localization and developing direction of each functional region is put forward respectively,which will be the base for the exploitation adjusting and space control of coastal tourism industry in China.
