Abstract:In this paper we analyse the existence and non-existence of non-negative solutions to a non-local parabolic equation with a Hardy-Leray type potential. More precisely, we consider the problem $$ \begin{cases} (w_t-\Delta w)^s=\frac{\lambda}{|x|^{2s}} w+w^p +f, &\text{ in }\mathbb{R}^N\times (0,+\infty),\\ w(x,t)=0, &\text{ in }\mathbb{R}^N\times (-\infty,0], \end{cases} $$ where $N> 2s$, $0<s<1$ and $0<\lambda<\Lambda_{N,s}$, the optimal constant in the fractional Hardy-Leray inequality. In particular we show the existence of a critical existence exponent $p_{+}(\lambda, s)$ and of a Fujita-type exponent $F(\lambda,s)$ such that the following holds:

Abstract:We consider a non-homogeneous parabolic equation with degenerate coefficients of the form , where . This paper establishes the existence/non-existence of global-in-time mild solutions based on a critical exponent, known as the Fujita exponent. Similar topics for a semilinear heat equation with degenerate coefficients are treated in Fujishima (Calc Var Partial Differ Equ 58:25, 2019). They considered an equation , which is not self-adjoint, with two types of homogeneous weights: and where . In this paper we consider the case of a self-adjoint operator, and extend to more general weights that meet certain restrictions such as being in the Muckenhoupt class , non-decreasing, and where the limits and exist, where and . The main result establishes that the Fujita exponent is given by . This means that the asymptotic behavior of the weight at infinity affects global existence of solutions and the one at the origin does not.

Abstract:We study the existence of solutions to the following parabolic equation(P){ut−Δpu=λ|x|2|u|q−2u,(x,t)∈Ω×(0,∞),u(x,0)=f(x),x∈Ωu(x,t)=0,(x,t)∈∂Ω×(0,∞) where−Δpu≡−div(|∇u|p−2∇u),1<p<N,0<s≤p,p≤q≤p*(s)=N−aN−pp,Ω is a bounded domain in RN such that 0 ∈ Ω with a C1 boundary ∂Ω, f ≥ 0 satisfying some convenient regularity assumptions. The analysis reveals that the existence of solutions for (P) depends on p, q, s in general, and on the relation between λ and the best constant in the Sobolev-Hardy inequality.

Abstract:This work is devoted to the nonexistence of nontrivial nonnegative (positive) weak solutionsfor weighted quasilinear parabolic differential inequalitiesinvolving weakly coercive operators and nonlocal terms of convolution type in the whole space, whose positive weight functions may be singular or degenerate at origin. Our approach relies on nonlinear capacity estimates adapted to the nonlocal setting of our problems, by which we establish the new first and second critical Fujita exponents.

Abstract:We investigate nonexistence of nontrivial nonnegative solutions to a class of semilinear parabolic equations with a positive potential, posed on weighted graphs. Assuming an upper bound on the Laplacian of the distance and a suitable weighted space-time volume growth condition, we show that no global solutions exists. We also discuss the optimality of the hypotheses, thus recovering a critical exponent phenomenon of Fujita type.

Abstract:We investigate a non-homogeneous nonlinear heat equation which involves degenerate or singular coefficients belonging to the $A_2$ class of functions. We prove the existence of a Fujita exponent and describe the dichotomy existence/non-existence of global in time solutions. The $A_2$ coefficient admits either a singularity at the origin or a line of singularities. In this latter case, the problem is related to the fractional laplacian, through the Caffarelli-Silvestre extension and is a first attempt to develop a parabolic theory in this setting.

Abstract:We study the problems of uniqueness for Hardy-Hénon parabolic equations, which are semilinear heat equations with the singular potential (Hardy type) or the increasing potential (Hénon type) in the nonlinear term. To deal with the Hardy-Hénon type nonlinearities, we employ weighted Lorentz spaces as solution spaces. We prove unconditional uniqueness and non-uniqueness, and we establish uniqueness criterion for Hardy-Hénon parabolic equations in the weighted Lorentz spaces. The results extend the previous works on the Fujita equation and Hardy equations in Lebesgue spaces.

Abstract:We study positive properties of the quasilinear elliptic equation $$-\mathrm{div}\mathcal{A}(x,\nabla u)+V|u|^{p-2}u=0\quad (1<p<\infty)\qquad \mbox{ in } \Omega,$$ where the function $\mathcal{A}(x,\xi)$ is induced by a family of norms on $\mathbb{R}^{n}$ ($n\geq 2$) parameterized by points in the domain $\Omega\subseteq\mathbb{R}^{n}$, and $V$ belongs to a certain local Morrey space. We first establish two-sided estimates for Bregman distances of $|\xi|^{p}_{s,a}$ ($1<s<\infty$), where $a=(a_{1},a_{2},\ldots,a_{n})$ and $a_{1},a_{2},\ldots,a_{n}$ are certain functions with positive local lower and upper bounds in $\Omega$. These estimates lead to a Maz'ya-type characterization for Hardy-weights of the corresponding functionals. Then we prove three types of sufficient conditions for the attainment of the Hardy constant in a certain space $\widetilde{W}^{1,p}_{0}(\Omega)$.

Abstract:This paper deals with a singular biharmonic equations with p -Laplacian and Hardy potential. Using Mountain Pass Theorem and Fountain Theorem with Cerami condition, we obtain the existence and multiplicity of sign-changing high-energy solutions under some suitable conditions on the nonlinear term f(x,u) . In addition, by applying an abstract critical point theorem of Kajikiya in [A critical point theorem related to the symmetric mountain pass lemma and its applications to elliptic equations. J Funct Anal. 2005;225(2):352–370], a sequence of sign-changing solutions converging to zero for the biharmonic equations with sublinear nonlinearities is also obtained.

For lambda is an element of inverted right perpendicular0.lambda(1))with lambda(1) being the first eigenvalue of the operator - Delta - mu/|x|(2) with zero Dirichlet boundary condition, and for f is an element of H-0(1) (Omega)(-1) = H-1, f not equal 0, we show that (1.1) admits at least two distinct nontrivial solutions u(0) and u(1) in H-0(1) (Omega). Furthermore, u(0) >= 0 and u(1) >= 0 whenever f >= 0.

Abstract: We prove the existence of a critical Fujita exponent for a non-homogeneous semilinear heat equation which involves degenerate coefficients. More precisely, in order to give a rather complete theory, we focus on two types of weights $w(x)=|x_1|^a$ or $w(x)=|x|^b$ where $a, b>0$ in a suitable range. The coefficients under consideration admit either a singularity at the origin or a line of singularities. In the latter case, the problem is related to the fractional Laplacian.
