China Aerospace Systems Engineering Methods and Practices

Abstract:Systems engineering has been developed from and successfully used in the practices of launch vehicles, satellites, spacecrafts and missiles developments in China Space. This paper provides a brief description of system engineering approach that relates to the development and life cycle management.The institute of system engineering,”two command lines”, WBS, CM, and design review are all key activities to bring a space system into being. During some certain periods, China space industry was also suffered from serious failures. Facing the challenges in the new age, China Space has to improve its system engineering managements and to analyze China space industry system from the perspective of complex system theory by the methods of meta-syntheses.
