Abstract:This study aimed to clarify the effect of rhamnolipids addition on lignocellulosic degradation based on Fenton pretreatment and fungal inoculation during composting. Rice straw was pretreated by using Fenton's reagent, inoculated with the fungi Aspergillus fumigatus , and rhamnolipids were added during composting. The results showed that rhamnolipids increased the effect of Fenton pretreatment and A. fumigatus inoculation, increased lignocellulase activities and accelerated lignocellulosic degradation. A addition of rhamnolipids increased the bindings of the enzyme to the substrate. Additionally, the core fungi producing lignocellulase in the rhamnolipids treatment group were from the phyla Basidiomycota and Ascomycota. Meanwhile, A. fumigatus belonging to the Ascomycota phyla, is instrumental in lignocellulase production. The core fungi producing lignocellulase were greatly affected by reducing sugars, rhamnose, lignin, cellulose, amino acids, and pH, and accelerated the lignocellulose degradation during composting. This study serves as a theoretical reference for efficient hydrolysis of lignocellulosic waste based on pretreatment processes.
