Abstract:Absorbers are commonly employed for the suppression of scattering field; however, a trade-off exists between the magnitude of scattering reduction and the bandwidth. Consequently, a design criterion of achieving a 90% suppression effect is generally adopted. Striving for higher scattering reduction would inevitably lead to a significant decrease in absorber bandwidth, necessitating the development of a new mechanism to achieve wideband and efficient scattering suppression. This study introduces an innovative graphene-assisted transparent and flexible metasurface that successfully achieves a significant reduction in radar cross-section (RCS) across a wide frequency range through the implementation of multilayer graphene stacking and doping techniques. The design achieves remarkable scattering suppression of over 20 dB from 10.3 GHz to 19.2 GHz by leveraging both phase cancellation and absorption mechanisms. Moreover, the insensitivity of the metasurface to large angle incidence is further confirmed through simulation analysis. This research presents a novel and effective design strategy towards realising flawless electromagnetic stealth.
