Abstract:Smart conductive adhesives are ideal for building signal transmission and dynamic adhesion interfaces in fields such as soft electronics, biomedicine, and intelligent robotics due to their on-demand switching of adhesion properties under preset conditions. However, universal strategies are still lacking to achieve convenient and adjustable triggering conditions, excellent adhesion and electrical properties. Herein, we report a programmable adhesive ionogel that can significantly switch its adhesion properties under preset temperature triggers, meeting the demands of complex scenarios. This gel is constructed using two emulsions as functional units. During the film formation process, a two-phase structure forms within the material: the ionogel phase regulates conductivity and adhesion, while the side-chain crystalline polymer phase with controllable phase transitions adjusts the trigger temperature and adhesion switching ratio. This strategy not only enables the controlled combination of these two functional components but also facilitates the independent regulation of their respective properties. As a result, the material exhibits precisely set trigger temperatures (e.g., 25/45 C-degrees), excellent conductivity (2.48 x 10(-3) S/m), adhesion (600 N/m), and switching ratios (15.58). This study provides a versatile and efficient new approach for intelligent adhesive materials' design, preparation, and multi-performance regulation.
