Abstract:On the basis of the generalized invariant formulation, the invariant-related unitary transformation method is used to study the evolution of the quantum Dirac field in a time-dependent spatially homogeneous electric field. We solve the functional Schr?dinger equation for the Dirac field and obtain the exact solutions and corresponding total phase. The total phase includes both the dynamical phase and geometric phase (Aharonov-Anandan phase).

Abstract:For an harmonic oscillator with a field intensity related external source we establish the nonlinear number-phase squeezed state, in this state we find that while the number fluctuation increases, the phase fluctuation decreases correspondingly. The number-phase uncertainty relationship is exactly derived. In contrast to the usual coherent state which makes up the minimum number-phase uncertainty relationship, the nonlinear number-phase squeezed state does not reach its minimum uncertainty.

Abstract:Based on the (lambda) representation and the radius-phase description of an electron's orbit track in a uniform magnetic field, we introduce the phase operator and derive the minimum uncertainty states for the angular-momentum-phase uncertainty relation. Abstract:A quantum description for the phase difference between two harmonic oscillators is proposed. Being represented by a Hermitian operator, phase difference displays two striking quantum features. First, its eigenvalues form a new type: of quantized value which is countable and dense in a 2 pi window. Second, because quantized phase difference cannot be defined as a difference of phases, it obeys a quantum addition rule which may not be commutative.

Abstract:The explicit common eigenvectors for complex scalar fields ϕ(x) and ϕ+ (x) are derived. They span an orthonormal and complete space. Based on this, the charge conjugate unitary operator and the operator which generates Bogolyubov pseudo-particles transformation can be neatly derived. It is emphasized that ¦ξ〉 is different from the direct product of two independent eigenvectors respectively belonging to two real scalar fields, and ¦ξ〉 is named the correlated eigenstates of ϕ(x) and ϕ+ (x).

Abstract:We use the uncertainty relation between the operators associated with the total number of particles and with the relative phase of two bosonic modes to construct entanglement and Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen steering criteria. These can be tested experimentally in a variety of systems, such as optical fields, Bose-Einstein condensates, and mechanical oscillators. While known entanglement criteria involving the phase observable typically require us to perform interference measurements by recombining the two systems, our criteria can be tested through local measurements at two spatially distinct positions to investigate the nonlocal nature of quantum correlations. We present simple examples where our criteria are violated and show their robustness to noise. Apart from being useful for state characterization, they might find application in quantum information protocols, for example, based on number-phase teleportation.

Abstract:Based on the quantized electromagnetic field described by the Riemann-Silberstein complex vector $F$, we construct the eigenvector set of $% F$, which makes up an orthonormal and complete representation. In terms of $% F $ we then introduce a new operator which can describe the relative ratio of the left-handed and right-handed polarization states of a polarized photon .In $F^{\prime}s$ eigenvector basis the operator manifestly exhibits a behaviour which is similar to a phase difference between two orientations of polarization of a light beam in classical optics.

Abstract:By noticing that although single-mode Susskind-Glogower phase operator does not commute with photon number operator, two-mode nonlinear phase operator commutes with number-difference operator. We reveal that the common eigenstate [eta\ of two-particles' relative coordinate and total momentum involves the entanglement between phase and amplitude.
