Abstract:The 3D hierarchical BiOCl0.2Br0.8/g-C3N4 Z-scheme heterojunction containing double vacancy under strong interfacial interaction was formed via a hydrothermal method. In this work, the electrostatic field-enhanced interfacial interaction generated by post-hydrolyzed L-glutamic acid promoted the generation of nitrogenoxygen defect and the achievement of a stable 3D porous structure. In particular, the BiOCl0.2Br0.8/g-C3N4 photocatalyst (LBCN-1:1) at a molar ratio of g-C3N4 to Bi of 1:1 exhibited the highest photocatalytic activity toward Rhodamine B (RhB, 100 %, 10 min) and tetracycline (TC, 100 %, 30 min) degradation, and the photocatalytic degradation rate constants of which were 4.91 times and 8.84 times higher than that of pure BiOCl0.2Br0.8, respectively. The synergistic interaction between the interfacial interaction and the Z-scheme heterojunction with double-vacancy not only improved the electron transfer and promoted the production of superoxide radicals (center dot O-2(-)), but also optimized redox capacity, which further widened the light response range and inhibited recombination of photogenerated electron-hole pairs. Moreover, the degradation efficiency of LBCN-1:1 remained at about 95 % over multiple consecutive cycles. A Z-scheme pattern was proposed to clarify the transmission scheme of charge carries based on the scavenger experiment.
