Abstract:Artificial neural networks have demonstrated remarkable performance across many fields. However, their high training cost has led researchers to seek ways to reduce it. One promising alternative is spiking neural networks, which offer higher computational efficiency. Despite this advantage, spiking neural networks still lag behind artificial neural networks in accuracy. To address this issue, researchers have been focusing on how to train high-precision spiking neural networks. Unfortunately, this remains an unsolved problem in the field. This work proposes a new training idea that promotes the learning of more generalized features in spiking neural networks, and has been verified on the CIFAR10 and CIFAR100 datasets. By introducing randomness, spiking neural networks are able to achieve higher training accuracy. This work may propose new ideas for training spiking neural networks that could lead to more accurate and efficient models in the future.
