Abstract:Notice of Retraction After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE's Publication Principles. We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper. The presenting author of this paper has the option to appeal this decision by contacting TPII@ieee.org. A heterogeneous electrocatalytic oxidation method was developed for the treatment of papermaking wastewater. The modified electrode, supported catalyst particles, aeration, current density and so on were investigated. The removal rate of CODCr and color were introduced to evalulate the treating effect. The results showed that The organic pollutants might be degraded or removed efficiently by the heterogeneous electrocatalytic oxidation, Ti/SnO2-Sb2O3-MnO2/PbO2 electrode had excellent electrochemical performance comparing exchanging current density(i0) and oxidative reaction transfer coefficient (β), the best catalysts for the particles was transition metal oxide, aeration made the reaction system in a fluid state, improved the mass transfer rate, and change the corrosion potential of the system. It would imply that the heterogeneous electrocatalytic oxidation process was a promising method for paper-making wastewater.

Abstract:A highly active heterogeneous palladium catalyst was prepared from coated mesoporous materials which contain a layer of readily available PEG with a labile coordinating ability for palladium. The aqueous suspension of the catalyst may be reused several times by simple extraction of the aqueous reaction mixture with ether to remove the product.

However, the H2 evolution rates can still be reproduced. Because the oxidation products are mainly radicals or H2O2, we do not observe much O2 evolved. In addition, we also find that the O2 evolution rates seem to be related to the activity test equipment (the Hg lamp we used and the additives in H2O).
