Abstract:A virtual test and simulation system based on virtual reality (VR) is introduced. The test processes are interactively planned, optimized and simulated in a virtual environment (VE), aiming at eventually performing tests completely in virtual environments. The architecture, design principles and implementation of the system are discussed. The key supporting techniques, main problems and possible solutions are put forward. Its application in non-destructive evaluation (NDE) and random simulation of carbon-fiber reinforced plastics are also discussed. Finally, its development trend in the future is forecasted. The conclusion is that VR-based virtual test and simulation system bears great potentials for engineering applications, and much work is needed to make it more practical.

Abstract:This article presents three educational applications developed in these worlds. The first, for virtual museum of history and culture, shows a set of virtual worlds designed in VRML where the student interacts with different objects. When an object is selected, its name can be show and the student can listen to its history. In the following application, a virtual classroom,the created world can be shared simultaneously by several users. Finally, the latest advances in the creation of virtual environments have been applied in the third application using a game server. This has made possible the design of a more realistic world where the student can interact with other users and share his experiences.

Abstract:Virtual reality(VR) is a hot research topic, and it has been effectively applied in military, education and other fields. The application prospect of virtual reality in education is very broad. It can effectively reduce labor cost, resource consumption, stimulate students' interest in learning, and improve students' knowledge level. New energy vehicles have also been widely promoted in recent years, and the production of new energy vehicles has played a key role in it. However, the teaching of car engine disassembly and assembly still retains a more traditional way. That's why applying VR technology has high significance. This project uses the Unity 3D engine to develop a VR-based engine teaching software, which aims to allow users to use VR headsets, handles and other accessories to simulate the disassembly and assembly of car engines in a virtual environment. We design a modular system framework and divided the software into two layers, the system layer and the function layer. The system layer includes a message system and a data configuration system. The functional layer includes the user interface system, disassembly and assembly function, and data module. In addition to fulfilling functional requirements , we used the Unity UPR tool to check out performance issues, and optimized product performance by turning off vertical sync and turning on static switches for some scene objects.

Abstract:With the worldwide ravaging of the covid-19 epidemic, the traditional face-to-face education systems have been interrupted frequently. It is demanded to develop high-quality online education modalities. The webcasting based online classroom is one of the popular education modalities but suffers from poor teacher-student interactions and and low immersive learning experiences. This thesis aims to improve the online education quality by using the virtual reality (VR) technology. For the purpose of automobile engine education, we develop a VR based engine maintenance learning system. The system includes many teaching and learning components in VR enabled by the Unity engine. Users can immersively experience the complete engine disassembly process through the wearable VR display and interactive devices. The system is designed with an interactive layer, a control layer, and a physical data layer. Such a system architecture effectively separates the specific implementations of different domains and improves the R&D efficiency. Once new object models and process profiles are provided, the proposed system architecture requires no modification of codes for changed learning objects and processes. The efficiency and effictiveness of the proposed method are verfied by various experiments. The developed techniques can be useful for many other applications.

Abstract:With the combination between system simulation and virtual reality, we have established an integrated virtual refinery simulation platform, and analyzed the overall design and principal architecture. This paper introduces a simulation algorithm about a refinery based on virtual reality, and explains how the algorithm can be applied to the virtual refinery integrated simulation platform in detail. The virtual refinery simulation platform, which consists of a three-dimensional scene system, an integrated database system and a dynamic-static simulation system, has many applications, such as dynamic-static simulation of key process unit used as process control and oil tank blending simulation for scheduling. With the visualization and human-computer interaction for acquiring production and process data, this platform can provide effective supports on staff training related with monitoring, control and operation in refinery. Virtual refinery can also be web published through the internet and it is helpful for the distance training and education.

Abstract:To overcome the shortcomings of commercial virtual simulation software including the need of high hardware configuration,expensive price and function shortage in secondary development,an OpenGL-based construction virtual simulation platform was studied and developed based on existed graphic engine of 4D-GCPSU. Its main features include reality rendering of 3D model by processing material,texture,lighting etc. 3D dynamic simulation and animation display with double buffer technique,creating and controlling of virtual scene with human-computer interaction technology. The platform has been applied and tested in practice engineering projects and can produce high quality 3D realistics model and 3D animations. It can be adopted in the development of 4D virtual construction and dynamic management systems. Therefore,the platform is of practical application value.

Abstract:With the increase of the volume of world-wide trade, the continuous improvement of tonnage and dynamic performance of ships, and the density of ships on sea routes, the operation level of ship navigator has been challenged seriously. Therefore, it is imminent to improve the operation level of seafarers. Virtual reality technology can be used for navigator training. Environment and motion simulation, using virtual reality technology, has great application potential. In this paper, based on virtual reality technology and three-dimensional simulation software, a ship simulation platform is built, and the motion model are introduced in detail. The three-dimensional modeling of the vessels have been completed in the three-dimensional software 3DS MAX. In this paper, the work of motion simulation is accomplished by solving the motion equation of hull maneuvering, while visualization is realized by using VR toolbox. After ignoring the influence of ship oscillation on its hydrodynamic coefficients, and the vibration factor of propeller when establishing the power system model, the MMG equation has been established. In order to verify the correctness of the model, Simulink simulation is used to verify the model. For the reason of easy to use, low cost, powerful modeling function and good scalability and so on, XNA, a game development environment based on Direct X developed by Microsoft, has been chosen as the driver platform.

Abstract:This paper presents the development of a visual reality headset. Aided by the real-time head orientation tracking ability, this compact head mounted display device allows users to step inside three-dimensional scenes and completely immerse themselves in the virtual world. The device can be widely used for entertainment, fitness, education, telepresence, etc. This work illustrates the design of a set of modules including head tracking, optical subsystem, display unit, and ergonomics design. In addition, an example of its applications in 3D interactive bike race games is extensively described.

Abstract:Automotive engine assembly and disassembly are common and crucial programs in the automotive industry. Traditional education trains students to learn automotive engine assembly and disassembly in lecture courses and then to operate with physical engines, which are generally low effectiveness and high cost. In this work, we developed a multi-layer structured Virtual Reality (VR) system to provide students with training in automotive engine (Buick Verano) assembly and disassembly. We designed the VR training system with The VR training system is designed to have several major features, including replaceable engine parts and reusable tools, friendly user interfaces and guidance, and bottom-up designed multi-layer architecture, which can be extended to various engine models. The VR system is evaluated with controlled experiments of two groups of students. The results demonstrate that our VR training system provides remarkable usability in terms of effectiveness and efficiency. Currently, our VR system has been demonstrated and employed in the courses of Chinese colleges to train students in automotive engine assembly and disassembly. Abstract:Abstract In order to realize the interactive design of the VR laboratory based on unity. The first experimental building of Southwest Petroleum University (Nanchong Campus) is taken as the foundation environment, and the scene interaction is deeply studied. Based on C# and js language, Photoshop is the image processing software, based on 3d max three-dimensional modeling and virtual interaction technology. Finally, it connects the HTC Vive device to realize the roaming function of the laboratory and some experimental functions, and completes the production of VR laboratory. The VR laboratory is based on the background of “VR+education”, which is of great significance to the development of experimental teaching in schools. It is beneficial to promote the development of virtual reality technology in education and teaching, and has application value.

Abstract:<p>Virtual Reality VR technology offers a unique approach to enhance the use of complex 3D graphics and visualization environments. The study conducted using virtual reality (VR) technology integrated into the computer-aided design network; VR is a Web-based learning environment. Virtual reality technology is expected to be a traditional 2D computer graphics (CG) CG extended to a 3D real-time simulation program. Virtual reality technology can be used to promote participation and student learning. With VR education, change the delivery of educational content. No user interaction is well suited to see it and is very suitable to create a real or imaginary virtual world. Immersive virtual reality (VR) applications require ultra-high data rate and low latency to run smoothly, designed to improve multiuser wireless VR video (depth of learning support system) VR experiences. It has been proposed streaming: quality and low-latency video block submission. Scenario, VR is that it can describe some fields to be widely applied to education. One of the main features of VR is that it allows for multisensory interaction in the visualization space. This combination of visualization and interactive cosmetic VR of multisensory is, ideally, to see whether suitable for effective learning and try to explain this effect by the benefits of active learning from experience. Also, may want to consider some of the defenders and the application of VR education related to technology-related lottery.</p>

Abstract:Simulation technology has been used to train marine engineers for decades. However, traditional marine-engine training systems (METSs) possess low immersion levels that seriously limit their effect. To overcome this problem, we developed a head-mounted, display-based immersive virtual reality (IVR) METS based on HTC Vive Pro hardware. Like the traditional METS, it has training and automatic evaluation functions. Moreover, it can reproduce, with high degrees of immersion, all of the details of a real ship engine room and vividly simulate emergency scenes, such as a fire, so that trainers can perform various operations as though they were in the real environment. Thirty students majoring in marine engineering at Dalian Maritime University, China, were selected to test the system. The results showed that the head-mounted, display-based immersive VR METS had many advantages compared to the desktop VR METS.

Abstract:VR (Virtual Reality) makes it possible to use digital technology to drive the development and revitalization of the cultural tourism industry. Aiming at the shortcomings of traditional virtual tourism system such as weak immersion and lack of interaction, this paper designs and produces a Zhuhai virtual tourism system based on RPG. Secondly, this paper analyzes the functional modules of the virtual tourist attraction system. Finally, this paper uses three-dimensional panoramic technology to realize the development of virtual tourist attractions system from four processes: material collection, material stitching, panoramic roaming, and publishing roaming. The system constructs a virtual three-dimensional tourism environment through virtual reality non-contact sensing technology on the basis of the real tourism landscape. Tourists can experience travel in a virtual environment in advance without leaving home, and then plan efficient travel plans.

Abstract:Comprehensively improving the level of vocational education and teaching quality has become an important initiative to meet the new round of technological revolution and industrial change. The traditional teaching mode can no longer meet the needs of industries and enterprises for job competences, and all higher education institutions are actively thinking about how to carry out teaching reform. Virtual reality (VR) can effectively solve the above-mentioned drawbacks, but the hardware facilities of the existing VR systems are extremely expensive, making it impossible to popularize it in teaching. In this context, this paper is based on VR for the design of an interactive teaching platform. This paper discusses the key technologies of virtual reality, introduces the relevant theoretical foundation, and describes the current virtual reality devices with high popularity and their advantages and disadvantages for systematic analysis. From the perspective of teaching design, the design of human-computer interaction teaching process using VR technology to develop learning scenes is studied, introducing 3D modeling techniques, model construction, the production of picture and text panels, the production of video materials, and the establishment of virtual tour guide 3D scenes. The principle of this paper is to build a 3D vision for building 3D views of educational needs to design high quality images and video animation using 3DMAX and unity 3D engines. Then, we introduce the use of VR glasses (entry-level), smart phones (android/ios), and Bluetooth wireless handle to build a simple interactive teaching platform; the platform is of low cost of construction and student coverage, to solve the teaching resources shortage, equipment conditions lagging behind, the curriculum content aging, teachers and students who cannot interact in real time, and a series of problems.

We reconstruct the submarine pipeline and its surrounding submarine terrain in computer using Horde3D graphics rendering engine on the foundation database "submarine pipeline and relative landforms & landscape synthesis database" so as to display the virtual scene of submarine pipeline based virtual reality and show the relevant data collected from the monitoring of submarine pipeline.
