Abstract:A scheme for probabilistic teleportation of a four-particle entangled W state is given.Two partially entangled two-particle states are used as the quantum channel.A four-particle entangled W state can be perfectly teleported probabilistically from the sender to the receiver if the sender performs three unitary transformations and two Bell-state measurements while the receiver introduces auxiliary particles and performing appropriate unitary transformations.

We show that teleportation can be successfully realized with a certain probability if the receiveradopts an appropriate unitary-reduction strategy. Abstract:We introduce photon-added entangled coherent states (unnormalized) : and investigate the entanglement by employing the entropy of entanglement. Then, we propose a scheme of probabilistic teleportation via photon-added entangled coherent states. It is shown that the mean fidelity of the scheme can be increased by exciting entangled coherent states in the case of nonmaximally entangled quantum channel. The violation of the Clauser–Horne–Shimony–Holt inequality for photon-added entangled coherent states is also examined.

Their successful probabilities are different. 03.65.Bz, 03.67.-a Typeset using REVTEX ∗E-mail: drshi@ustc.edu.cn †E-Mail: gcguo@ustc.edu.cn 1 Quantum teleportation, proposed by Bennett et.al [1], is the process that transmits an unknown two-state particle, or a qubit from a sender (Alice) to a receiver (Bob) via a quantum channel with the help of some classical information. In their scheme, such a quantum channel is represented by a maximally entangled Bell state. Teleportation has been demonstrated with the polarization photon [2] and a single coherent mode of field [3] in optical experiment. Recently, Gorbacher et. al [4] considered the quantum teleportation of twoparticle entangled state by three-particle entanglement, in their proposal, a three-particle Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger [5] (GHZ) state is used as the communication channel. The three-photon GHZ state has been realized experimentlly [6]. In the proposal of standard teleportation, a Bell state or a GHZ state is used to as quantum channel for faithful teleportation. If the entangled state used as quantum channel is not maximally entangled, the faithful teleportation is not possible. Although Mor and Horodecki [7] showed that a “ conclusive ” teleportation of an unknown two-state particle can be made possible with pure entangled state of two-particle, whether a perfect teleportation of two-particle entangled state having a finite probability of success is possible with pure entangled state of three particles or not is unknown. In this report, a pure entangled three-particle state is considered, which is used as quantum channel. We present two schemes, by which, the probabilistic teleportations of two-particle entangled state can be realized. The successful probabilities of these two schemes are different. The probability of one scheme is equal to the twice modulus of the smaller coefficient of the pure entangled three-particle state. Let a pure entangled three-particle state be in the following state |Φ〉 123 = α |000〉 123 + β |111〉 123 (1) where, α, β are reals, |α| > |β| . The two-particle entangled state which will be teleported is: |Ψ〉 45 = a |00〉 45 + b |11〉 45 (2) The particle 3 of the state |Φ〉 123 and particle pair (4, 5) belong to the sender Alice. The state of particle pair (4, 5) is unknown to Alice. Other two particles 1, 2 belong to receiver 2 Bob. In order to realize the teleportation, a Bell state measurement on particles 3 and 4 is made by Alice, which will project particles 1, 2 and 5 into the following state:

Abstract:The entanglement of pair cat states in the phase damping channel is studied by employing the relative entropy of entanglement. It is shown that the pair cat states can always be distillable in the phase damping channel. Furthermore, we analyze the fidelity of teleportation for the pair cat states by using joint measurements of the photon-number sum and phase difference.

Abstract:We present a scheme for teleporting a three-particle entangled state to three remote particles. In this scheme, three pairs of pure nonmaximally entangled states are considered as quantum channels. It is found that by means of optimal discrimination between two nonorthogonal quantum states, probabilistic teleportation of the three-particle entangled state can be achieved.

Abstract:Teleportation may be taken as sending and extracting quantum information through quantum channels. In this report, it is shown that to get the maximal probability of exact teleportation through partially entangled quantum channels, the sender (Alice) need only to operate a measurement which satisfy an ``entanglement matching'' to this channel. An optimal strategy is also provided for the receiver (Bob) to extract the quantum information by adopting general evolutions.

Abstract:Teleporation with partially entangled quantum channel cannot achieve unit fidelity and unit probability. We show that the conditions for faithful teleportation of a pure state or a mixed state can be described by the same general relation $\rho_{q}\rho_{m} = pI$, where $\rho_{q}$ is the reduced density matrix of the quantum channel, $\rho_{m}$ is the reduced density matrix of the measurement basis, and $p$ is the probability of faithful teleportaion. We investigate the invariance of faithful teleportation conditions under unitary transformation. These results not only bring new insights to the probabilistic quantum teleportation theory, but also offer operational significance in that a simple procedure is provided to find out the faithful teleportaiton probability and the matching measurement basis for any partially entangled quantum channel.

Abstract:In most probabilistic teleportation schemes, if the teleportation fails, the unknown quantum state will be completely ruined. In addition, the frequently proposed high-dimensional unitary operations are very difficult to realize experimentally. To maintain the integrity of the unknown quantum state to be teleported, this analysis does not focus attention on the original multi-particle state but seeks to construct a faithful channel with an ancillary particle and a unified high-dimensional unitary operation. The result shows that if the construction of the multi-group Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen pair succeeds, the original multi-particle state can be used to deterministically teleport the unknown quantum state of the entangled multiple particles which avoids undermining the integrity of the unknown state brought about by failure. This unified high-dimensional operation is appealing due to the obvious experimental convenience.

Abstract:It is pointed out that the possibility of teleporting an arbitrary unknown one-particle spin state is crucially connected with the maximal entanglement of the Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen pair, whose one-particle reduced density matrix is rho(i)=1/2I(2) (i=1,2). It is shown that, to teleport an arbitrary k-particle spin state, one must prepare an ancillary N-particle (Ngreater than or equal to2k) entangled state, whose k-particle reduced density matrix has the form (1/2(k))I-2(k) (I-2(k) is the 2(k)x2(k) identity matrix). An alternative approach to constructing many-particle entangled states is developed by using R-x(pi), the collective rotation of pi around a given axis (say, x axis). The entangled states constructed by using R-x(pi) operating on the basis of angular momentum uncoupling representation are just the GHZ states, which cannot be used for the teleportation of an arbitrary k (greater than or equal to2) particle spin state. The entangled states constructed by using R-x(pi) operating on the basis of angular momentum coupling representation turn out to be effective for the teleportation of an arbitrary multiparticle state. A formal extension of the scheme of Bennett to deal with the teleportation of an arbitrary two (or more) particle spin state is discussed.

Abstract:We propose a scheme for teleportation of a three-particle entangled W state through two-particle entangled quantum channels. Firstly, the maximally entangled states are taken as quantum channels, then, the case of nonmaximally entangled channels is considered. Abstract:Since decoherence caused by some environment is always present in practice, the quantum channels usually exist in the form of non-maximally entangled states instead of maximally entangled states. We present an approach to deterministically teleport an arbitrary two-qubit state with a probabilistic quantum channel composed of a one-dimensional six-qubit cluster state. To avoid damaging the states to be teleported, the channel is modulated in advance, and Hadamard transformation and Bell state measurement are applied instead of six qubit von Neumann measurement. The scheme is flexible because the channel can be modulated either by the sender or by the receiver, and we may decide which party modulates the channel according to the distribution of available particle and gate operation resources. Furthermore, we provide different ways of redistributing qubits between the sender and the receiver, as well as alternative solutions of constructing the scheme. Finally, for general cases, we extend this scheme to deterministic teleportation of an arbitrary n-qubit state.

Abstract:A scheme for teleporting an unknown quantum state of many particles is proposed. The scheme operates essentially by prearranging the sharing of an Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen-correlated pair of particles every time. We show that after performing a series of Bell-state measurements and single-particle unitary transformations, the unknown state of many particles, which was destroyed at one place, can be reconstructed at another place. Our scheme is actually obtained by generalizing an earlier scheme of Bennett ct al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 70 (1993) 1895; 76 (1996) 722] known as quantum teleportation to the multiparticle case.

Abstract:This paper presents an approach to deterministically teleport an arbitrary two-qubit state through a one-dimensional four-qubit cluster state serving as a probabilistic quantum channel. The channel is modulated in advance to avoid damage to the original states in this scheme, which is caused by the inevitable failure of constructing a channel between the sender and the receiver. The scheme is flexible because the channel can be modulated either by the sender or by the receiver, with the option of deciding whether the sender or the receiver modulates the channel, according to the distribution of the available particle resources. The efficiency can be improved by reusing previously discarded results that may lead to a faithful channel. The scheme can be uniformly performed, so the design process can be greatly simplified to realize a reliable deterministic teleportation. Finally, the scheme is extended to deterministic teleportation of an arbitrary n-qubit state in a generalized form.
