He has extensive international working experience at several prestigious institutions. He has worked at Sheffield Hallam University, UK since 2016. He was associate professor at Aarhus University, Denmark in 2013–2015, senior lecturer at the University of Portsmouth in 2011–2013, lecturer at the University of Aberdeen, UK in 2009–2011. He was scientific collaborator at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) in 2006–2009, Alexander von Humboldt fellow at the Leibniz University of Hanover, Germany in 2004–2006, senior research fellow at London South Bank University in 2001–2003 and research fellow at Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands in 2000– 003. He has received several prestigious awards such as Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship in Germany in 2006, an ERCOFTAC Visitor Grant at EPFL, Switzerland in 2010 and a Distinguished Visiting Professorship of the City of Beijing, China in 2016– 021, and 2022–2025. His research interests include multiphase flow and heat transfer and thermal energy engineering, high heat flux thermal management, decarbonized heating and cooling technology, CO2 thermal, energy and power systems, renewable energy systems, hydrogen energy system and, new net zero energy technology. He has published more than 120 papers in journals and conferences, 9 book chapters and edited 10 books. He has delivered more than 60 keynote and invited lectures worldwide. He is the congress chair of the World Congress on Momentum, Heat and Mass Transfer (MHMT) since 2017. He is one of the founders and co-chair of the International Symposium of Thermal-Fluid Dynamics (ISTFD) series since 2019. He is associate editor of Heat Transfer Engineering, Heat Transfer Research and Journal of Fluid Flow, Heat and Mass Transfer, and international advisor of Thermal Power Generation (a Chinese journal). Bofeng BaiBofeng Bai is a distinguished professor and the deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of Multiphase Flow in Power Engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong University, China. He obtained his Ph.D. in thermal energy engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong University, China in 1999. He was awarded Distinguished Young Scholars by the National Science Fund of China in 2014. His research interests focus on fundamentals of multiphase flow and heat transfer, multiphase flow in propulsion systems, thermal engineering, and petroleum engineering. He has published more than 400 papers in journals and conferences, and has delivered numerous keynotes and invited lectures worldwide. He is one of the founders and co-chair of International Symposium of Thermal-Fluid Dynamics (ISTFD) series and the chair of the First International Symposium of Thermal-Fluid Dynamics, Xi’an, China in 2019 (ISTFD’19). He is associate editor of Measurement, Measurement: Sensors and Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science -Proc. IMechE, Part C. Haibin ZhangHaibin Zhang is currently a Professor of Multiphase Flow and Heat Transfer at the Xi’an Jiaotong University. He obtained his Ph.D. in power engineering and engineering thermophysics at State Key Laboratory of Multiphase Flow in Power Engineering of Xi’ an Jiaotong University in 2012. During 2014 to 2015, he worked at the Department of Chemical Engineering in Imperial College London as a visiting scholar with Prof. G. F. Hewitt. His current research focuses on experiments and modelling of multiphase flow and heat transfer, spray and atomization, evaporation, and mixing and their engineering applications. He has undertaken over 10 projects as the principal investigator and has published more than 30 papers in journals and conferences. Afshin J. GhajarAfshin J. Ghajar is Regents Professor and John Brammer Endowed Professor in the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma, USA and an Honorary Professor of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi'an, China. He received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees all in mechanical engineering from Oklahoma State University. His expertise is in experimental heat transfer/fluid mechanics and development of practical engineering correlations. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the American Society of Thermal and Fluids Engineers (ASTFE). He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Oklahoma. Professor Ghajar has received countless teaching/service awards, such as the 75th Anniversary Medal of the ASME Heat Transfer Division, the ASME ICNMM Outstanding Leadership Award, and the Donald Q. Kern Award, among others. His research work has resulted in over 250 publications including professional journals, reports, books, peer-reviewed conference papers or symposium proceedings. His research achievements have also been documented by a large number of presentations as well as keynote and invited lectures all over the world. A 2020 study conducted by Ionnidis et al. of Stanford University [Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators (plos.org)], ranked nearly 160,000 scientists of all disciplines based on citations to their work over their career and for the year 2019, Professor Ghajar ranked in the top 1.3% of researchers in Mechanical Engineering and Transports category. He currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Heat Transfer Engineering Journal and is the Heat Transfer Series Editor for CRC Press (he has edited 13 books to date). He is the co-author of two popular textbooks, Heat and Mass Transfer – Fundamentals and Applications, 6th Edition (2020), and Fundamentals of Thermal-Fluid Sciences, 6th Edition (2022), both published by McGraw-Hill; and the author of Two-Phase Gas-Liquid Flow in Pipes with Different Orientations, Springer Briefs in Applied Sciences and Technology, published by Springer 2020, and Single- and Two-Phase Flow Pressure Drop and Heat Transfer in Tubes, Mechanical Engineering Series, published by Springer, 2022.
