Abstract:The differences between IEEE Std. 344 IEEE Recommended Practices for Seismic Qualification of Class IE Equipment for Nuclear Power Generating Stations 1987 edition and the 2004 edition are introduced in the paper. The application of the new edition in USA is also described. Through the analysis of equipment seismic qualification, the supplemental experience method of IEEE Std. 344 in the new edition can't be used in CHINA at present. (authors)
