Effect of Hyperacoustic Root Canal Therapy on Inter-appoinment Pain

Abstract:Objective To investigate the relation between hyperacoustic root canal prearation and inter-appoinment pain.Methods Analysis was conducted on the patients recieiving root canal therapy and having complete record at out-patient clinic,to make comparison the incidence of inter-appointment pain from different means of root canal therapy.Results the incidence of inter-appoinment pain with hyperacoustic root canal therapy was 6.54%;the incidence of inter-appoinment pain with handed root canal therapy was 14.95%.the incidence of inter-appoinment pain with handed root canal therapy was significantly higher than that with hyperacoustic root canal therapy.Conclusion Hyperacoustic root canal prearation could decreases the incidence of inter-appoinment pain.
