Abstract:With an explosive growth of e-businesses worldwide, e-commerce in China is booming, leading to the development of e-commerce education. This paper is intended to investigate whether the education system in China accords well with the market demand and the status of e-commerce programs in China in order to seek strategies for China to cope with the challenges of global e-commerce empowered by fast updated information technologies. First, we construct a four-layer conceptual model to describe the relevant factors influencing e-commerce and e-commerce education. We then present the status of China’s e-commerce education in different educational categories. Although we find that current problems in China’s e-commerce education can be resorted in quantity and quality aspects, it generally is on the right track. Finally, we propose several main strategies for promoting the development of e-commerce education, in which the education system reformation is top priority and in which the government will play a critical role.

Abstract:In the context of the escalating global turnover of cross-border e-commerce, there exists an imperative to delineate a pedagogical paradigm that is congruent with the distinctive attributes of the sector and the developmental trajectories of businesses. Such a paradigm should be designed to enhance the cultivation of talent within the cross-border e-commerce domain, thereby elevating the quality of education and training for professionals in this burgeoning field. This study introduces an applied talent cultivation model called 'Post-Course, Competition, Certificate, and Creation,' which emphasizes an integrative approach to classroom instruction. The model advocates for a synergistic blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application, thereby reinforcing the development of students' hands-on capabilities. It proposes to elevate the comprehensive and vocational competencies of learners through structured internships and competitive events. Additionally, the model seeks to fortify the nexus between certification examinations and academic curricula, with a view to bolstering students' innovative and entrepreneurial competencies. The paper employs the reform of cross-border e-commerce course instruction as a case study, examining the efficacy of the 'Post-Course Competition Certificate and Creation' cultivation model. It delineates the practical outcomes of this model in the cultivation of cross-border e-commerce talent, offering insights into its effectiveness in enhancing educational strategies and professional development.

Abstract:Based on the undergraduate program in e-commerce, this paper mainly discusses how to establish the reasonable bilingual teaching course program and strengthen students’ cross-cultural communication ability of e-commerce training and practices. Combined with the common goal of bilingual teaching in higher education, it is proposed from the perspectives of e-commerce professional knowledge system and talent cultivation target that the solid specialized theory and rich practical innovation ability should be emphasized to construct e-commerce bilingual teaching courses program based on the social demand. Furthermore, the e-commerce course program of bilingual teaching is put forward including three objectives as knowledge, quality and ability, covering four areas of course, such as disciplines basics, professional cores, professional electives and practical education, and some teaching highlights. From understanding of the connotation and the bilingual teaching mode and combining with the features of Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade e-commerce English teaching practice, it is proposed in this paper a reasonable evaluation system of bilingual teaching model based on four perspectives, the characteristics of teachers and students, course design and, curriculum organization and learning outcome based on comprehensive, motivational, subjective and instructive principle.

Abstract:The development of cross-border e-commerce has stimulated a growing interest in related education. In response to this trend, a practical teaching approach that merges cross-border e-commerce expertise with innovation and entrepreneurship education has arisen and gained widespread traction. This innovative approach emphasizes the cultivation of students’ innovation skills and entrepreneurial ability through task-driven teaching that integrates professional knowledge and practical training. By participating in enterprise operations and completing assignments, students are able to master both theoretical knowledge and professional skills. This paper aims to explore the effectiveness of the task-driven teaching method in the integrated practical teaching of cross-border e-commerce and innovation and entrepreneurship. Practical suggestions for teaching reform in cross-border e-commerce are provided to meet the needs of application-oriented undergraduate colleges and to cultivate the application skills that enterprises require.

Abstract:Higher vocational colleges and universities are the main place to cultivate technical talents and bear the important responsibility to cultivate talents with high quality and high technology. With the popularity of the Internet, online payment and settlement have brought greater convenience to people's daily life. At present, more than 90% of higher vocational colleges and universities in China that offer e-commerce majors take Online Payment and Settlement as their professional foundation course. Through learning this course, higher vocational students understand and master the basic knowledge of online payment and settlement, which lays a good foundation for the subsequent learning of other courses in e-commerce and promotes the career development of higher vocational students at the same time. Abstract:With the implementation of visa exemption policies for China by ASEAN countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand, cross-border e-commerce in Guangxi, oriented towards the ASEAN market, has developed rapidly. This is particularly evident in the increased demand for customer service talents in online stores engaged in cross-border e-commerce. In this context, the reform of the 'Online Store Customer Service' course assumes significant importance. This paper delves into the e-commerce environment, cultural differences, and consumer habits of ASEAN, identifying shortcomings in the existing course structure. Addressing these shortcomings, the paper proposes a series of practical and feasible reform measures aimed at enhancing the practicality and internationalization of the course. These reforms are designed to cultivate professional customer service personnel who can effectively communicate in a cross-cultural context. Finally, the study discusses the practical implications of this research and outlines future research directions.

Abstract:E-commerce, driven by computer and internet technology, has experienced a significant growth in almost all fields during the past two decades. E-commerce has significantly changed the rules of business. Numerous research institutions and enterprises have made e-commerce more intelligent and convenient. Here, we propose a novel prototype of next-generation e-commerce platform with an architecture framework and theoretical models. Each subject, including the individual, enterprise, and administrative department, has his/her personalized portal to complete the subject information synchronization, supply release, demand satisfaction, and social contact. By using the personalized portal, instead of the traditional trading platform, the consumers and suppliers can complete intelligent matching transactions without intermediate traders. Moreover, the overall transaction process can be reviewed, making the transaction safer, more transparent, and more interesting. Moreover, the interconnected personalized portals solve the isolated islands of information, and the counterparts support parallel processing. Thus, this may improve the operating efficiency of the entire society.
