Abstract:The method and steps of making "Cell Engineering Experiment" multimedia CAI system were presented.The design and realization method for the main menu of this system based on accessibility framework model menu of Authoring software was described.The techniques of the video editing,video compression,dubbing and package of multimedia teaching software were also discussed.It may provide valuable reference for the making of multimedia teaching software in higher education.

Abstract:Multimedia as a pedagogical tool has been widely adopted for improving the quality of teaching. This paper describes the construction of a teaching software package based on the characteristics of the "Genetics" course. Abstract:Based on Windows platform taking 3DS MAX and Authorware as major development tools,main process of developing the main process of modeling and animation of 6 kinds of typical fluid machinery was elaborated.This multimedia demonstration system described 6 kinds of fluid machinery that has more complex structure and demonstrated its internal structural and working principle.It carried out teaching conveniently,and has gotten better effect.The modeling method for the component or machinery that has more complex structure mentioned can be also applied to other modeling of such machinery that has more complex structure.

Abstract:"Image Processing and Analysis" is a specialized course that gets more and more attention in recent years with the wide applications of multimedia technique. This paper presents our recently developed "Computer Assisted Instruction System for Image Processing and Analysis (IP&A CAIS)". This system is suitable for interactive learning and self-learning with personalized and customized materials. It has totally 60 specialized demonstrations and 30 interactive exercises. Around 800 high quality images and many other multimedia objects are involved. In this paper, the designing considerations, the system structure and the developments of its two components - demonstration and exercise are described in detail. It has a combined tree structure and net structure. The demonstration unit has two layers with different levels of complexity, while the exercise unit provides not only the tips for answer the question but also interactive manipulations to assist the understanding of difficult concepts. All these characteristics make this system very flexible and effective for providing students immediate and direct support in learning.
