Abstract:Objective To compare the clinical outcomes of different surgical treatment for patients of lumbar spondylolisthesis with spinal canal stenosis. Methods 76 patients underwent the decompression fully. Three methods were used to fix the spines (U shaped screw in 23 cases, Steffee steel panel in 20 cases and RF system in 33 cases). 50 patients were treated with bilateral inter transverse and facet fusion, and 26 underwent posterior lumbar interbody cage fusion. Results 70 patients got excellent outcomes. The spinal replacing rate of Steffee steel panel and RF system were 90.0% and 81.8% respectively, and the spinal fusion rate were 94.0% and 96.2% respectively. Conclusion Lumbar spondylolisthesis with spinal canal stenosis must be surgically treated with methods which can give full decompression, steady internal fixation, and high fusion rate. The pedicle screw system is the suitable method to fix the spine internally, and both methods of the spinal fusion are available.
