Abstract:The parameterized standard parts CAD (PSPCAD)design method and the key technical problems in building parameterized standard parts drawing library are discussed. The general flow chart of the program is given. A PSPCAD system was developed based on the above method. In this system, any parameterized parts library can be built without any new program code.

Abstract:The difficult problem of how to expand the parts library dynamically is analyzed.Model parameters-driven part design method is proposed.Taking the injection mold parts as an example,the parts parameters′ complexity is analyzed.The single inheritance structure method is proposed to describe the parts parameters,and the multilevel data storage structure is proposed as the way to store the parts parameters,so that the 2D table(or complicated tree-like table) is simplified as a linear data structure.Each record of this data structure contains only one parameter for the parameter control relation.In such a way,the serial and standard part library is constructed which can be expanded dynamically.With this part library construction method,offline edit function of the 3D parts is realized.

Abstract:A powerful parameterized CAD system can not only design other dimensions of parts according to some key parameters provided by a user, but also produce drawings of parts automatically. What is more, those drawings must be standard so that they can be used in parts machining. High automation, high standardization and effective information exchange are what are pursuing in the development of parameterized CAD systems. The technologies of ActiveX Automation and database are very useful in achieving the objectives above, Taking the CAD system for retainer moulds of taper roller bearings developed by authors as an example, this paper discusses how to achieve an effective parameterized CAD system with these technologies. The discussion is focused on the following aspects. Firstly, how to realize module planning according to functions with data exchanged more effective is discussed. Secondly, the accomplishment of the interfaces among different modules, such as design module, drawing module, plotting tool(here is AutoCAD), drawings preview module and so on, is given out. Thirdly, how to design and realize those modules is discussed in detail. In addition, the application of the object-oriented program design technique to reduce the complexity in data processing is also introduced in this paper. In a word, a new method to develop parameterized CAD systems with the technologies of ActiveX Automation and database is given out in this paper.

Abstract:A method for heterogeneous CAD platforms to share a database resource and create the standard parts through the parameter-driven mode is proposed in this paper. A tool for constructing standard parts library without programming is developed. Finally the three dimensional standard parts library system is implemented on the UG, Pro/E and SolidWorks platforms.

Abstract:It is necessary to use libraries of parts when using CAD software. But, deficiencies and problems exist in most libraries, so we developed a part management system called GS-PM. Based on features, but not geometric information, it not only improves efficiency but also enables some applications of higher levels, for instance, the parts can be used in different CAD software. This part library can work in client/server mode to share information. It can also be applied to establish a customized visual part library (a Web part library), which can build parts dynamically according to the user's needs

Abstract:According to the characteristics of standard parts of plastic mould,a standard-part library based on Solid Edge is established.By using program driving method,the principle,method and process for developing 3D(Three Dimensions)parameterized standard-part library for plastic mould are studied with Visual Basic based on Solid Edge.The methods of data processing and transferring for standard-part library is described in detail and an application example of 3D parameterized standard-part library for injection mould with Visual Basic based on Solid Edge is introduced.The results show that the usage of the standard-part library helps to shorten design and development cycle of mould product.

Abstract:In consideration of the characteristics of standard parts including standardization,serialization and universalization as well as in order to reduce the design repetition,shorten development cycle and facilitate data management of standardized parts,the design method and design philosophy as well as realization method of product parameterized design are analyzed in the paper.Taking a bolt of vehicle standardized parts as an example,the parameterized design and modeling are performed using the CATIA V5 software,and the database is established accordingly.The result indicates that the parameterized design and database set-up of the standardized parts are practical and effective,not only improving design efficiency but also facilitating user management.

Abstract:On the Pro/E platform,based on the multi-layered parametric technology composed of component level,part level and feature level,through the integration of many secondary development technologies such as Pro/Toolkit,UDF and Pro/Program,the intelligent standard parts library system was constructed.This system can be compatible with the standard parts in part and assembly,meanwhile,by combination with the Pro/E assembly positioning,the functions such as the additional processing on the standard parts and automatic drilling are achieved so as to enlarge the application range of the intelligent standard parts library and improve its intelligentialize.

Abstract:In this paper, a web-based parts library management system - webParts is studied. WebParts allows engineers and designers to search for component information semantically and construct digital product design chain according to the information. WebParts is built based on PLIB standard (ISO13584) and "tabular layouts of article characteristics technology"(GB/T10091). According to the PLIB standard, a dual description method (semantic description and logical expression level) is used to express component information. The data dictionary (ISO13584-42) is used to description component information at semantic level. Because the typical structure and function feature are not described explicitly in component data dictionary (PLIB ontology), a semantic feature description dictionary (ontology) is added in the data dictionary. At logical description level, a tabular layouts of article characteristics is extracted from PLIB dictionary (especially the part characteristic) according to some rules. At last, three kinds of part search method provided by webParts are introduced.

Abstract:The period of design can be shortened and efficiency of production can be enhanced byusing standard parts library. But the library which is developed on overseas isn't fit to ourcountry. At the same time, the heterogeneous CAD platforms restrict its currency. Abstract:Based on software Pro/ENGINEER and Visual C++ 2005, sub-module of parametric design of assembly with wide universality was done by using Pro/TOOLKIT, and the design procedure was introduced in details. Assembly relation of sub-components is transformed into binary tree structure to store and search parts, and the assembly relation is displayed by CTreeCtrl control. The corresponding parts can be quickly found in the binary tree. Engineering drawing was automatically generated and displayed by ProductView after loading a part, and in this way dimensions of different parts can be modified according to engineering drawing in asynchronous mode. The sub-module can meet the needs of parametric design of parts in the integrated simulation system.

Abstract:It is an important way of enhancing efficiency of products design to establish standard parts library.In this paper,aiming at demand of machine tool fixture design,a modeling method of parts library of machine tool fixture based on parameter technology and SolidWorks API technology is put forward,which regards Delphi as developing tool and SolidWorks as modeling software platform.The skill of establishing and administrating database of the 3D machine tool part fixture,and the technology of writing the code of the automatic drawing function of the procedure are analysed.This system is very flexible and has very good expansibility.It has instructional function to other standard parts libraries.

Abstract:The scale factor of drawing is referred as a crucial parameter during developing the parametric design software.In order to build the standard 2D engineering drawings,a method that the scale factor is properly applied in the program of parametric design is provided.Some problems are dealt with in CAD system that is developed with ObjectARX,such as un-uniformity of the text and dimension,flexible configuration of the several drawings with different scale etc.All of the engineering drawings which are created with the different scale by this CAD system are able to meet the requirements of engineering drawing standards.The different scale drawings of assemblies and parts can be collocated randomly in the same blueprint,but their high of text and style of dimension are assured uniform.
