Abstract:Under the background of "double first-class" construction, the teaching staff, as the foundation of the construction of colleges and universities, determines the overall construction effect of colleges and universities.High-level teachers are the guarantee of talent cultivation, education and teaching, scientific research and competitiveness of colleges and universities.However, the improvement of teachers' quality is affected by many factors, which leads to teachers' choices that affect their overall performance when facing teaching and scientific research tasks.In view of this, this study attempts to determine the relationship between professional ability, incentive mechanism and career satisfaction in Chinese universities and colleges, and to propose ways to improve teacher quality.A total of 400 valid questionnaires were collected in this study, and SPSS 26.0 software was used for descriptive analysis, variance analysis and regression analysis.The results show that there is a positive correlation between professional ability, incentive mechanism and teacher satisfaction in Chinese universities.This means that the stronger the professional ability of teachers, the better the incentive mechanism, the higher the satisfaction of teachers, and the corresponding improvement of teacher quality.Through this research, universities may encourage and support the training and professional development of young teachers.This will help balance the age structure of the teaching force and provide more development opportunities for young teachers.As teachers themselves, they may continuously improve their level of professional ability, including teaching and academic ability, and formulate their own career plans in order to adapt to the constant changes in society.Regular teacher training programs should be established to help enhance their professional competence, while salaries and benefits should be improved to better motivate teachers.

Abstract:Boyer's concept of "Scholarship of teaching" not only broadens people's understanding of "academics" but also breaks the barrier between "teaching" and "researching" in universities so that higher education can return to its essence-teaching, and teachers teaching academic ability has also received unprecedented attention. Teaching academic capabilities include the generation and dissemination of teaching content knowledge, teaching evaluation and reflection ability, teaching research and innovation ability. Abstract:The smart age has created new goals, and offers novel approaches for teachers' professional development. The acquisition of technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) has become essential for novice university teachers' professional development. With the aim of developing teachers' TPACK, this study constructed a BOPPPS–TPACK training model by following four key design principles: smart-tool-based, pedagogy-driven, microteaching-integrated, and creatively enhanced. This paper describes a practical study involving 145 teachers that was carried out using questionnaire surveys, interviews, and electronic record analyses. The results showed that the BOPPPS–TPACK training process could achieve the effective coupling of BOPPPS and TPACK and enhance novice university teachers' ability to engage in in-depth learning and TPACK transfer, creating a method and system to guide teachers' professional development. Measures such as optimizing the construction of smart environments for teachers' professional development, enriching pedagogical content of knowledge-based representations, and extending feedback collection to practical settings can help to enhance TPACK development.

Abstract:The level of practical teaching ability of teachers in applied colleges and universities is the core driving force to improve the quality of personnel training and the efficiency of social service. This paper focuses on two important issues: The first one is to deeply analyze the challenges college teachers face in classroom teaching and practical teaching, and propose targeted improvement strategies accordingly; The second is to face the bottleneck problems in school-enterprise cooperation, such as the lack of enthusiasm between the two sides, the imperfect teaching and training system of teachers, and the lack of practical experience, and explore the path to improve the practical teaching ability of teachers in application-oriented colleges and universities. Specifically, on the one hand, this paper focuses on the teaching status quo of college teachers in the new era, solves the specific problems in classroom teaching and practical teaching through the guidance of the senior level of the school and the internal independent learning of teachers, increases the proportion of "dual-qualified and dual-capable" teachers, and provides new ideas for the development strategies of improving teaching practical ability. On the other hand, in view of the current difficulties, this paper proposes to rely on the opportunity of the construction of school industry colleges, deepen the school-enterprise cooperation mechanism, build a systematic training system for teachers' practical teaching, improve the evaluation system of practical teaching, create an open and cooperative educational ecological environment, and encourage teachers to carry out teaching reflection and practical innovation, so as to comprehensively improve teachers' practical teaching ability, promote the construction of "double-qualified and double- capable" teachers, and lay a foundation for the cultivation of high-quality talents in applied colleges and universities.

Abstract:In this paper, practical strategies are proposed to improve the quality of teachers in higher vocational colleges. Research and analyses have shown that the key to improving the quality of teachers in higher vocational colleges lies in the improvement of professionalism, subject knowledge, and teaching ability. Thus, the following practical strategies are proposed: strengthen teachers’ moral development, establish a teacher training system, focus on curriculum construction and teaching method innovation, and strengthen the teaching quality monitoring and evaluation mechanism. These measures can effectively improve the quality of teachers in higher vocational colleges and promote the development of higher vocational education.

Abstract:As translation education grows more comprehensive, prosperous, and diversified, training professional translators has become an essential element of such education programs. By revisiting various translation training approaches and several models of translation competence, this paper, inspired by social constructivism, points out that the ultimate goal of educating translation professionals is to improve their translator competence instead of translation competence.Drawn from the experiences of China's professional training program called MTI (short for Master of Translation and Interpreting), and in compliance with demands from the translation industry, this paper puts forward an alternative constructive model developing students' translator competence by three modes: to assign task-based readings and open a discussion forum, to conduct skills-based translation workshop and to do project-based translation practice. The three components of this model are integrated together, but processed in a systematic way. Hopefully, this model can shed some light on professional training in other countries' professional translator education programs too.

Abstract:With the social and economic development and technological progress, higher education has entered the stage of popularization. In the new period and situation, our higher education institutions are facing many challenges. How to improve teaching quality? How to cultivate innovative talents? How to adapt to the requirements of high-quality talents in the era of knowledge economy and other issues, all of which require colleges and universities to change their traditional concepts, establish modern university concepts and improve their core competitiveness. And to achieve this goal, we must strengthen the school management, especially the construction of college teachers. This paper puts forward specific measures to improve the professionalism of teachers in our colleges and universities from five aspects: Updating the concept of education and attaching importance to teachers' professional development. Create an atmosphere of respect for teachers and stimulate their creative energy. Improve institutional mechanisms to protect teachers' legitimate rights and interests.
