Abstract:A critical aspect about the immobilized mammalian cell culture is the design of novel bioreactors based on immobilized carriers. In this paper,the development of bioreactors and the carrier for immobilization of mammalian cell culture, such as microcarrier, microencapsulation, selfflocculation of mammalian cell culture and membrane carrier were reviewed. Moreover, the field effect, multiple chambers and mixed culture of various mammalian cell lines were evaluated.
