Abstract:AIM:To investigate the influence of cobalt chloride-induced hypoxia on the proliferation and transmigration of human dental pulp cells(DPCs).METHODS:Human DPCs were obtained using modified tissue explant technique in vitro, and then cultured in the environment of mimic hypoxia induced by cobalt chloride.DPC proliferation was measured by methylthiazol tetrazolium(MTT) assay.Transwell method was applied to evaluate the effect of mimic hypoxia on the transmigration of DPCs.The data was statistically analyzed with SPSS11.5 software package.RESULTS:The proliferation ability of DPCs decreased when exposed to cobalt chloride-induced hypoxia in a dose dependent manner. And the transmigration of DPCs was inhibited in hypoxia.CONCLUSION:Cobalt chloride-induced hypoxia inhibits the proliferation and transmigration of DPCs.
