Abstract:In this paper, the problem of active fault tolerant control (FCT) of linear discrete-time systems with state delay and Markov jump parameters is investigated in stability and stabilization, that is, giving a condition to guarantee the stability of such systems and designing a controller to stochastically stabilize such systems. We will study the control systems that have automatic failure monitoring capability in order to reorganize or reconfigure the control law in real time in response to failure indications. In the systems we are concerned with the random variations occurring in the system description are modeled as failures with Markov transition characteristics, i.e., a stochastic difference equation description. Also, there is an additional random process, i.e. FDI process, which induces random variations in the control law and changes the system description through the control reconfiguration strategy. Linear dynamic state feedback control design methodologies will proposed. In other words, we will consider the behavior of active fault tolerant control systems. In particular, we will consider the closed-loop stochasitical stability of active fault tolerant control systems when the random events that affect these systems, namely component failures and failure detection decisions, are taken into account. An example is included to illustrate the theoretic results.
