Abstract:Studied in accordance with computer vision system, this article puts forward the major problems existing in the hardware embodying levels of vision system. Then it explores new ideas in resolving these problems, and puts forward a vision processing system based on FPGA in the need of stereo vision system. As FPGA can be reconstructed freely, it can take charge of some computing work to strengthen the real time issue of visual processing. The system can be well applied to 3-D stereo vision system as a front-end graphic grabbing device and co-processor.

Abstract:In the past few years, there has been significant progress in the communications and computer technology, which requires stable, clear video image display. On the other hand, conventional analog video processing method, due to its intrinsic limitations, can not meet the requirement of high quality and high speed operation. Meanwhile, the digital video processing technique that integrates with the computer technology is growing rapidly. In this paper, we introduce the art of FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) that has been widely used for video signal processing, and develop the video signal acquisition and processing system that based on FPGA, thereby achieve real-time video signal acquiring, processing, and transferring.

Abstract:A design scheme based on PowerPC and FPGA architecture is introduced,this paper expounds the image processing of hardware part of the principle and structure,including video decoding input part,the back end code output section,as well as within the FPGA processing,mainly for the interlaced transfer line by line,stacked and choice.At the same time gives the communication process and the way the data flow in the process of circulation.Designed image processor can realize preliminary convert video formats and communication mode,and superposition and switching can be realized.Can be further processing PAL video with VGA video conversion.

Abstract:A video display system is designed and implemented based on FPGA.The architecture is composed of three subsystem,which are video capture,video processing and video display subsystem.The video capture subsystem can process YCrCb 4∶2∶2 video data stream which is compatible with the ITU-R BT.656 PAL standard,while the video processing subsystem video image data is stored highly with ping-pong cache technology,and the video image display subsystem can display the image in standard VGA format.The main processing chip of the system is Cyclone Ⅱ family of EP2C70 of Altera,and each functional module are achieved by Verilog HDL.The whole system has achieved good video capture and good display result.

Abstract:This paper proposes an architecture of FPGA based video port.The architecture is composed of three subsystems,which are video capture,video storage and video display subsystems.The video capture subsystem can process YUV video stream that is compatible with the ITU-R BT.656 PAL standard,while the video display subsystem can display the image in standard VGA format.The whole system has been implemented on Xilinx FPGA,and achieves good result.

Abstract:A new scheme and implementation of video signal generator are illustrated.For examining the video-multiplexer in the device under test,we change the format of digital picture from BMP to YUV format on PC,and transfer the data to the memory unit through USB interface under the control of the FPGA.It then initializes the digital video encoder chip SAA7121H through I~2C bus,and supplies corre- sponding data from the memory unit for SAA7121 H and output the converted results to a specific channel according to various channel select instructions.So we can see different graphics when video-multiplexer selects different channel.By this scheme,we observe different graphic by executing different channel select command.It accomplished the design goal fully and well.

Abstract:As CCD camera analog signal data is enormous and FPGA's parallel processing capability is powerful,A project is proposed to acquire and display real-time analog video image data,which contains CCD camera,FPGA,synchronous dynamic random access memory(SDRAM),video decoding and encoding chip.According to the steps of video signal processing,five modules are implemented,including the decode of ITU656,video signal processor,SDRAM controller,color space conversion and VGA display controller module.These modules accomplish video decoder chip's configuration,parsing,processing,storage and display.The verification show good realization on hardware board.

Abstract:The design of a kind of video processor with the function of auto-focusing is introduced in this paper. The video processor receives digital 8-bit YCbCr video signal. With a piece of DDR2 SDRAM as frame buffer, the video processor realizes the function of format conversion, frame up-scaling and color space conversion. The paper proposes an improved gray scale differential auto-focus algorithm and calculates the focus value of the current image real-timely. Applying the mountain climbing searching strategy to control the moving of the focus motor, and realize the function of auto-focusing. The whole design is realized in VHDL and verified with Xilinx XUPV5-LX110T FPGA developing board.

In the development of embedded system, the traditional microprocessor can not realize the timing of VGA interface. In this paper, discussedthe VGA display timing , and designedthe hardware interface circuit of VGA display. The VGA display driver is realized by hardware description language, and the VGA display of static characters is realized by customized character ROM. Abstract:In order to acquire,process,and display video in real time,a real-time video processing platform based on a dual PowerPC hard core architecture is presented.With implementation of video preprocessing algorithms by hardware,then in the form of a user IP core it added to the hardware system,the video processing software program on top can call image data after preprocessing directly from the memory.Focus on the building of dual PowerPC hard core architecture in FPGA,on using ping-pong control algorithm to cache a row of image data,as well as on storing image data in memory by DMA.As a case study,edge detection algorithm is implemented in this platform.Experimental results show that implementation by this platform need only 40ms.This platform can process video in real time,with high practical value.

Abstract:The 2D to 3D conversion technique plays an important role in the development and promotion of three-dimensional television (3DTV), because it can provide adequate supply of high-quality 3D program content. This Paper focuses on the real-time implementation of 2D-3D system, of which the major parts are source depth-map generation and depth image-based rendering (DIBR). The depth-map is generated by multi-depth cues, according to the types of the 2D scene, including luminance and color, visual saliency and adaptive depth models. Then the original 2D image or video is converted to stereoscopic one by DIBR with the depth map. The proposed system is accelerated by being designed in new hardware architecture on FPGA. Our method is verified on various sequences and experiment results show that, the system can achieve 30 frames per second for processing full HD (1920×1080) video on Xilinx Virtex IV XC4VSX25 while the resulting image or video is both realistic and visual pleasing.

Abstract:To address the issue of online annotation problem of real-time video image system,a kind of video image overlay system based on serial communication of FPGA was designed on the basis of EP4CE115F29C7N high performance processing chip, serial communication of RS232 and VGA display technology. In this paper,the design of hardware structure of serial communication module and VGA display module were mainly described. It also introduced the work flow and software of the serial control. Through the test,the system works stably and reliably,which also achieves the expected effect in the practical engineering test.

Abstract:A video processing model is presented which is designed for real-time stereoscopic display system based on Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). The system makes use of image parallax theory and combines some high speed system design technologies. The hardware platform includes image acquisition, processing and display parts. Viewers need a pair of stereo glasses to experience stereoscopic display technology. This design is verified and has some applicable fields. It features real-time, low-cost and easy-feasibility and fills in a gap of displaying high definition timely stereoscopic image with high refresh rate Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) panel.

Abstract:Traditional interpolation algorithm has a lower quality on processing video image scaling details, especially when outputing higher spatial resolution video image. This paper mainly describes the algorithm principle and the hardware architecture of video image scaling using the poly-phase interpolation algorithm. Its hardware is implemented by using Xilinx’ s Spartan6 series FPGA chip. The system can enlarge a video signal captured by four cameras to 1 920x1 080@60 Hz resolution on any channel. The results show that hardware system can output vide-o images in real time and keep good details.

Abstract:VGA ( Video Graphics Array) is widely used as a standard display interface. Gigabit Ethernet,which has advantages of high-speed transmission,long-distance transmission,high stability and reliability,plays an important role in the current embedded systems. FP-GA has rich logic and pins resources,which is often used in high-speed data processing and embedded communication systems. Based on the above three points,introduce the gigabit Ethernet terminal display system design based on FPGA. Through the analysis of the system scheme,the design is divided into three modules:packet receiving and parsing module,dual port RAM cache module and VGA controller module. Introduce in detail the three module design method,and realize the three modules in this technology to work together to complete the function of the whole system,and the system simulation results and display effect is given.

Abstract:In this paper, we present an image processing method for seamless tiled display system. An ordinary personal computer (PC) is employed to preprocess the system, i.e., to generate geometry calibration and intensity blending parameters, with software. And a hardware image processor based on field programmable gate array (FPGA) is employed to divide the source video image into two sub-images according to the parameters mentioned above. The sub-images projected on the screen splice seamlessly, presenting a visually comfortable high-resolution image to the audience. Taking advantages of software and hardware, this method could process high-resolution video image with low cost and power consumption. Experimental results show that the proposed method is effective.
