Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of Yi Shen Yang Yuan Dan(YSYYD) on menopause syndrome. Methods:120 cases of menopause syndrome were randomized into treatment group(80 cases) and control group(40 cases). In treatment group,YSYYD was administrated and in control group,climactero tablet was administrated. In both groups,the levels of FSH,LH and E2 were determined before and after treatment respectively;simultaneously,the clinical therapeutic effects and symptom integrals after treatment were compared between groups;additionally,the relationship was observed between the syndrome type and therapeutic effect in treatment group. Results:The total effective rate was 95% in treatment group,and was 85% in control group,which explained that the therapeutic effect in treatment group was superior to that in control group in comparison. There were no alternation in FSH and LH before and after treatment in both groups,but E2 was increased significantly in treatment group,indicating significant difference in comparison before the treatment of the group(P0.05). The symptom integrals were all improved in both groups after treatment,of which,the outcomes of symptom relieving were superior to those in control group concerning to irritability,hot temper,chest oppression,palpitation,lassitude,poor memory and edema of limbs and face(P0.05). After treatment,in treatment group,the differences were not significant among three syndromes,namely insufficiency of liver and kidney,deficiency of spleen and kidney and deficiency of heart and kidney(P0.05). Conclusion:Yi Shen Yang Yuan Dan is effective definitely for menopause syndrome,without remarkable toxic side effect and it is worth to be promoted in application.
