Abstract:An industry oriented network knowledge discovery and sharing platform(IONK-DSP) was proposed to fast and accurately obtain the knowledge from industry network resources.The features of the platform were analyzed,and the multi-layer structure of the platform was specifically described.Furthermore,a process model was given for system realization.This platform can classify knowledge aiming at the set demand,self-define different knowledge search cycles,obtain continually the newest industry knowledge from goal network resources,and satisfy different demands of enterprise users by utilizing many kinds of services and tools.The prototype system development and the preliminary application indicate that the platform can help enterprise effectively and quickly obtain the magnanimous knowledge and information in the network,and provide support for further enhance of the enterprise's innovation ability and response capacity to emergency situations.

Abstract:Knowledge services have been proposed in this paper as a main component and measure in the knowledge society to promote the professional development of knowledge workers and improve their productivity. The basic design principles of knowledge services are discussed to integrate advantages of modern learning systems. A 5 layer design framework is proposed for developing the knowledge service platform to maximize the value of knowledge services. The prototype project has being started to build the Public Knowledge Service Platform (PKSP) to meet the urgent needs of talents development in China and progress is reported. The novel features of the proposed solution are given in the conclusion. © 2010 Springer-Verlag.

Abstract:The problems caused by the explosion of knowledge and information can be solved using the science platform concept, which is a new integrated network knowledge carrier. Thus, research is needed on knowledge systems within the science platform. Knowledge systems need to be modelled and structured. Knowledge Engineering, the Internet, Information Science and Modern Mathematics are integrated in an analysis of the knowledge systems involved in the construction of the science platform, including abstract simplification, formal configuration, classification systems and theoretical kernel analysis of the knowledge systems. The structural theory and the conceptual knowledge systems models are developed to provide a theoretical basis for constructing the scientific platform in an environment of network knowledge databases.

Abstract:Consummating innovation service platforms to foster innovative enterprises and talents has been listed as a main task in China's Technological Innovation Project. A novel solution is proposed in this paper, based on a knowledge service approach to support knowledge-base innovation. Knowledge services provide an ICT-enabled open accessible environment for on-demand knowledge acquisition. The BOKs-based rich knowledge resources repository supports one-stop service for innovation across multiple domains. Innovation knowledge services are also provided as an innovative guide and tools for knowledge workers, innovation champions and CxOs being involved in innovation activities, including innovation management, innovation methods, entrepreneurship, new product development etc. Innovation services are required to cover all level of DIKW framework (Data-Information-Knowledge-Wisdom) to avoid loss anything in lower level. Besides the resource layer, a networking layer is provided for building CoPs and CoIs for collaborative learning and innovation. It is an open innovation platform in which solution seekers can post their issue to find wisdom of crowds and the system provides online assistance for solvers and ideas searching. Then a collaborative innovation network can be formed dependent on attributes of the problem issue. It can either be a volunteer-based community just motivated with a common interest, or a bidding-based knowledge marketplace for crowdsourcing. Knowledge services are looked as a principle infrastructure to promote intellectual capital and continuous innovation in knowledge economy. A pilot development project is underway and has made significant progress. At Shanghai we have collected and developed a set of BOKs in innovation, software engineering, IT, and modern services domains, including New Product Development BOK, CTO BOK and CIO certificate program etc.

Abstract:Based on a complete recognition of knowledge as a resource/network/service,the internet of knowledge(IoK) and knowledge cloud were proposed and developed,turning the internet to be a knowledge highway,a soft infrastructure of smart cities in the cloud era.The IoKs provided users with an easily accessible and organized knowledge resources with higher value.The cloud platform with rich resources supports services in on-demand knowledge acquisition,creating a novel knowledge ecosystem for industries.A brief discussion on the IoK and knowledge cloud was given.A series of IoK prototype systems were developed to support the "Innovation Driven,Transformational Development" policy.

Abstract:In network- based education, a traditional navigator or a searching engine had some inherent weaknesses, so individualized intelligent learning has been difficult to realize. This paper presenteds a combined knowledge structure which reflecteds the relationships among knowledge modules. A series of association knowledge items was obtained by standardizing input ways and knowledge clustering based on association rules. Based on the mapping of knowledge items to the knowledge domain, the proposed knowledge representing and clustering in intelligent learning system could provide the learner intelligent clues of association learning which is an effective scheme of intelligent learning.

Abstract:The Public Knowledge Service Platform (PKSP) has been proposed in this paper as an ideal ecosystem for building the lifelong learning society and a major measure for developing human capital in a knowledge economy. Some main functions are identified and designed: (1) a technology transfer center; (2) a comprehensive collection of knowledge resources based on the body of knowledge of specific domains; (3) an On-the-Job learning platform for on-demand knowledge acquisition; (4) a collaborative platform for communities of practice (CoPs). The design of a domain-specific platform is totally driven by society demands. A case scheme is introduced for the public Outsourcing Knowledge Service platform, an urgent need in current China.

Abstract:As to how to acquire potentially useful knowledge to aid engineers in problem solving, this paper proposed a platform of problem solving by using the knowledge grid. This paper is mainly concerned with the implementation of problem-solving-oriented knowledge acquisition in the knowledge grid, which is a platform for sharing and managing globally distributed knowledge resources. Based on the knowledge grid, engineers could acquire the knowledge that will be potentially useful and give them some hints or inspiration for problem solving. Some key technologies for the platform’s implementation, such as ontology building for product development, semantic register, semantic parser, and query dispatch, are investigated. At last, a working scenario is employed to illustrate the knowledge acquisition process for problem solving in the product development process.

Abstract:The current situation and problems of knowledge service and its supporting platform are discussed. In order to make product more competitive, a new framework of the knowledge service platform for modern design under distributed resource environment from a perspective of whole lifecycle of the products is proposed by the application of knowledge flow theory and knowledge service in this paper. This platform is a middleware platform based on SOA, in which TRIZ, AD and other design theories and methods are integrated and functional component sets are adopted, meanwhile the integration of network resources by cooperating with other websites to support product design is included. The key technology to realizing function of platform and their implementations are discussed, the network resources integration strategy under distributed resource environment is proposed, the operating mechanism of various coupling knowledge flows in the platform was studied, and the topological relations among those knowledge flows are described. The result shows that this platform can provide overall technical supports for design knowledge and dynamic design process and to form a powerful product design support environment.

Abstract:This paper presents the design and implementation of an intelligent knowledge acquirement interface-IKAI. It makes construction and maintenance of the knowledge base easier and more effective by adopting visual knowledge representation so as to allow domain expert to construct the knowledge base directly. Used as an intelligent computer human interface, IKAI enhances the flexibility of the system by implementing three interface forms for different users, reduces the complexity of the system by developing a software agent to lead users to use the system step by step, and helps users automatically by tracking operation context. IKAI can even speak to users thanks to the integration of text to speech technology.
SAKA: An Intelligent Platform for Semi-automated Knowledge Graph Construction and Application

Abstract:Knowledge graph (KG) technology is extensively utilized in many areas, and many companies offer applications based on KG. Nonetheless, the majority of KG platforms necessitate expertise and tremendous time and effort of users to construct KG records manually, which poses great difficulties for ordinary people to use. Additionally, audio data is abundant and holds valuable information, but it is challenging to transform it into a KG. What's more, the platforms usually do not leverage the full potential of the KGs constructed by users. In this paper, we propose an intelligent and user-friendly platform for Semi-automated KG Construction and Application (SAKA) to address the problems aforementioned. Primarily, users can semi-automatically construct KGs from structured data of numerous areas by interacting with the platform, based on which multi-versions of KG can be stored, viewed, managed, and updated. Moreover, we propose an Audio-based KG Information Extraction (AGIE) method to establish KGs from audio data. Lastly, the platform creates a semantic parsing-based knowledge base question answering (KBQA) system based on the user-created KGs. We prove the feasibility of the semi-automatic KG construction method on the SAKA platform.

Abstract:Since the accelerating pace of globalization of the world economy, the knowledge becomes the key to enhance the competitiveness of firms. There is a great lot of knowledge in industry web resources and is very valuable for firms. Therefore, the firms need an effective method to discovery and share them. This paper presents a new recommendation technical solution to this problem. A platform is proposed to discover customized knowledge from industry web resources and provide personalized share service. At first the operational principle and content are given. Then the process model and the key technology are described in detail. Finally feasibility and practicability of the proposed technical solution were verified by the development and preliminary application of a prototype system.
