Abstract:Benefited by the accessible ynamido-lithium intermediates Ib from a Cu-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition in the presence of stoichiometric amounts of LIOH, a mild and flexible three-component route to conjugated enyne scaffolds was successfully achieved via a formal E-selective olefination strategy.

Abstract:A copper-catalyzed three-component reaction of cyclobutanone oxime esters and 1,3-enynes in the presence of TMSCN or TMSCF3 has been developed. This mild protocol enjoys a broad substrate scope tolerating many functional groups, providing a facile access to 1,7-double-functionalized allenes, which are difficult to prepare. The allenyl nitrile products may be easily transformed into allenoic acid derivatives and stereodefined tetrasubstituted alkenes, demonstrating their potentials as platform molecules in synthesis. Abstract:Ene-allenes serve as versatile building blocks in organic synthesis, and the development of their efficient preparation is valuable. Herein the synthesis of boryl-substituted ene-allenes utilizing a Cu/Pd-catalyzed borylallenylation of alkynes with propargylic carbonates and bis(pinacolato)diboron is reported. Densely (tetra-, penta-, and hexa-) substituted ene-allenes were synthesized in acceptable yield with high regio- and stereoselectivity. More important molecule structures can be obtained by subsequent modifications.

Abstract:A general and efficient synthesis of α‐amino‐α‐aryl carbonitriles through the three‐component reaction of arynes, aroyl cyanides, and DMF in a single step is described. DMF was not only used as the solvent, but it also participated in the reaction as a component. Used as the cyanide sources, the aroyl cyanides solved the toxicity and solubility problems associated with the use of HCN or metal cyanides in the Strecker synthesis. This procedure furnished α‐amino‐α‐aryl carbonitriles in moderate to good yields with broad substrate scope. Moreover, this reaction could be performed under mild conditions with high atom economy.

Abstract:The asymmetric 1,4‐difunctionalization of 1,3‐enynes represents a concise and highly efficient strategy for the preparation of chiral allenes. Herein, we developed a copper‐catalyzed three‐component asymmetric radical 1,4‐aryl/alkynylation of 1,3‐enynes by employing inexpensive, readily available, and highly reactive diaryliodonium salts as precursors to generate aryl radicals. The success of this reaction relied on the use of iminophenyl oxazolinylphenylamines (IPOPA) as chiral ligands. The reaction exhibited good compatibility with various alkynes, 1,3‐enynes, and diaryliodonium salts, providing an effective method for constructing highly enantioselective tetrasubstituted axially chiral allene compounds.

Abstract:Carbene-catalyzed [3 + 3] annulation of enals and vinyl sulfoxonium ylides has been demonstrated. This method efficiently synthesizes a range of 2-sulfenylidene-3-cyclohexen-1-ones with high atom economy. Notably, the presence of the sulfoxonium ylide moiety in the obtained products significantly enhances their potential for further synthetic transformations.
