Abstract:The title molecular complex, C(5)H(12)NO(2)S(+.)C(8)H(7)O(3)(-.)2C(8)H(8)O(3), contains (R)-methioninium cations, (R)-mandelate anions and (R)-mandelic acid molecules. The (R)-methioninium cation assumes an anti conformation for all of its single bonds. Hydrophilic and hydrophobic layers alternate in the crystal structure. Hydrogen-bond interactions and van der Waals contacts occur in the hydrophilic and hydrophobic layers, respectively.

Abstract:In the structure of the title salt, C6H9N2+ center dot C7H6NO2-, the 4-aminobenzoate anions are linked to adjacent anions and 2-amino-4-methylpyridinium cations via N - H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional supramolecular structure. The crystal structure also shows a weak C - H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bond between adjacent anions. Within the 4-aminobenzoate anion, the carboxylate group is twisted by 14.0 (4)degrees with respect to the benzene ring.

Abstract:In the crystal structure of the title compound, {[MnNa(C(6)H(4)NO(3))(3)]·H(2)O}(n), the Mn(II) cation is located on a threefold rotation axis and is chelated by three 2-oxidopyridinium-3-carboxyl-ate (opc) anions in an octa-hedal coordination. The Na(I) cation is located on a threefold rotation axis and is surrounded by six O atoms from three opc anions. The opc anions link the Mn and Na cations, forming a three-dimensional polymeric structure. The uncoordinated water mol-ecule, located on a threefold rotation axis, is equally disordered over two sites. The three-dimensional network is consolidated by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Abstract:The title compound, [CoNa4(C8H3O7S)(2)(H2O)(12)](n), is a three-dimensional coordination polymer bridged by sulfoisophthalate trianions and water molecules. The Co-II atom, located on an inversion centre, is coordinated by two carboxylate groups of the sulfoisophthalate trianions and by four water molecules in a distorted CoO6 octahedral geometry. Two independent Na-I atoms also have a distorted octahedral coordination geometry formed by water, carboxylate O and sulfonate O atoms. An extensive O-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen-bonding network is present in the crystal structure, as well as weak pi-pi stacking [centroid-centroid distance = 3.9553 (11) angstrom].

Abstract:The crystal structure of the title compound, (C10H9N2)2[Mn2(C10H8N2)3(H2O)8](C8H3O7S)2·C10H8N2·15H2O, consists of dinuclear MnII complex cations, sulfonatobenzenedicarboxylate trianions, 4-(4-pyridyl)pyridinium cations, uncoordinated 4,4′-bipyridine and uncoordinated water molecules. One 4,4′-bipyridine molecule bridges two Mn atoms, forming a centrosymmetric dinuclear complex; the mid-point of the C—C bond linking the pyridine rings of the bridging ligand is located on an inversion center. Each MnII atom is coordinated by four water and two 4,4′-bipyridine molecules in a distorted octahedral geometry. The MnII atom deviates by 0.591 (5) and 0.209 (2) Å from the mean planes of the coordinated pyridine rings. In the 4-(4-pyridyl)pyridinium cation, the two pyridine rings are twisted with respect to each other, making dihedral angle of 34.78 (17)°. The uncoordinated bipyridine molecule is also centrosymmetric. One of uncoordinated water molecules has site symmetry 2, and the other uncoordinated water molecule is located close to an inversion center and its one H atom is disordered equally over two sites. Extensive π–π stacking between pyridine rings is observed and an extensive hydrogen-bonding network of the types N—H⋯N, O—H⋯N and O—H⋯O is present.

Abstract:The title compound, [Zn(C2H8N2)(3)](SiF6), was synthesized ionothermally using choline chloride-imidazolidone as solvent and template provider. In the crystal structure, the anions and cations are located on special positions of site symmetry 3.2 and show a typical octahedral geometry. The Zn-II ion is coordinated by six N atoms from three ethylenediamine molecules. The crystal structure displays weak hydrogen bonding between [SiF6](2-) anions and the ethylenediamine NH hydrogen atoms.

Abstract:The title compound, C24H32O8S center dot C3H6O, features three six-membered and two five-membered rings. The six-membered rings adopt chair, boat and slightly distorted boat conformations whereas one five-membered ring adopts an approximate envelope conformation and the other a twist conformation. Disorder was modelled for the ethylthio group with the ethyl-C atoms resolved over three positions with occupancies of 0.58 (4), 0.23 (4) and 0.19 (3). In the crystal, an O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bond links the molecules into chains.

Abstract:In the crystal structure of the title solvated salt, C16H19N2+center dot C8H5O7S-center dot CH3OH, the anions and the methanol solvent molecules are linked by O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds. The cations and anions are packed as alternate layers parallel to (11 (2) over bar). The crystal structure is further stabilized by a pi-pi interaction between the pyridinium and benzene rings of the cations, with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.5492 (4) angstrom.

Abstract:The crystal structure of hexaammonium diacetyl-octa-molybdate tetrahydrate, (NH4)(42)[Mo132O372 (CH3COO)(30)(H2O)(72)] is documented. The crystals are triclinic, space group P-1, with a=8.1018(16) angstrom, b=10.334(2) angstrom, c=12.238(2) angstrom, alpha=68.20(3)degrees, beta=74.98(3)degrees, gamma=67.25(3)degrees, V=869.3(3) angstrom, Z=1. The structure. was solved by direct methods and refined by least squares methods to a Final R1 = 0.0374 and wR2 = 0. 1074 for 3805 observed reflections with I > 2 sigma(I). The structure contains ammonium cations and isolated acetyl octamolybdate(6-)anions, [Mo8O28(CH3CO)(2)](6-). Abstract:The title compound (Et4N)[Mn(MP-MP)2] (1) was obtained by air oxidation of an acetonitrile solution of MnCl2-4H2O and Na2MP. The structure of 1 was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction methods. Crystal data: C32H36MnNO4S4, monoclinic, P21/c, a = 9.598(3), b = 16.845(3), c = 10.702(3) Å, β = 111.20(1)°, V= 1613.1 Å3, Z = 2; Mr = 681.84; d x = 1.40g cm−3 F(000) = 712; μ = 6.8cm−1, crystal dimensions 0.40 × 0.20 × 0.20 mm3. The Mn atom is octahedrally and symmetrically coordinated by two MP-MP2- ligands, each providing two phenolate-oxygen and one disulfide-sulfur atoms to form a terdentate. The presence of an S-S bond is revealed by the distance of 2.093 A, which constitutes the first disulphide chelated to the Mn(III) ion. The paramagnetic nature of the high spin Mn(d4) ion is reflected in a value of μcff of 4.83 μB and broad 1H NMR absorptions at 23 ∼ 25ppm and –12∼-17ppm.

Abstract:The title compound, (C2H10N2)2[(C10H12N2O8)(MoO3)2]·4H2O, which crystallizes in the monoclinic C2/c space group, was obtained by mixing molybdenum oxide, ethyl-enedi-amine and ethyl-enedi-amine-tetra-acetic acid (H4edta) in a 2:4:1 ratio. The complex anion contains two MoO3 units bridged by an edta4- anion. The midpoint of the central C-C bond of the edta4- anion is located on a crystallographic inversion centre. The independent Mo atom is tridentately coordin-ated by a nitro-gen atom and two carboxyl-ate groups of the edta4- ligand, together with the three oxo ligands, producing a distorted octa-hedral coordination environment. In the three-dimensional supra-molecular crystal structure, the dinuclear anions, the organo-ammonium counter-ions and the solvent water mol-ecules are linked by N-H⋯Ow, N-H⋯Oedta and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
