Abstract:Epidermolysis bullosa (EB) is a group of inherited skin diseases that share the common feature of blister formation upon minor physical injury. Dystrophic EB (DEB) is characterized by formation of blisters beneath the lamina densa, within the papillary dermis, and by abnormalities of the anchoring fibrils. The mode of inheritance may be autosomal dominant or recessive. Autosomal dominant DEB (DDEB) was conventionally divided into Pasini and Cockayne-Touraine subgroups, and both have been classified as DDEB since 2000 [ [1] Fine J.D. Eady R.A. Bauer E.A. et al.
