Abstract:On the basis of the information perception technology and mobile interconnection technology, through the technology of Agriculture Internet of Things, the multi-sensor system integration is realized, and the collaborative sensing of habitat information come true in crop production. This paper designs architecture of hardware and software for the system. By wireless multi-hop and seamless connection technologies of "triple net integration", common interfaces and scanning technologies of multi-sensor standard signal transform are used to achieve the multi-parameter information acquisition of crop during its growth. Wireless monitoring nodes of the Agriculture Internet of Things are distributed in each measurement point of the farmland, and they are responsible for information collection, pretreatment, and wireless transmission of eight parameters data, including the environment temperature, environment temperature, Light intensity, Carbon dioxide content, soil temperature, soil humidity, soil pH, soil salt. The data processing and service system execute remote data storage and on-line information release. The intelligent decision support system achieve real-time warning of abnormal parameters. Experiments show that the architecture of the system is reasonable, and the system has good accuracy, stability and reliability, in line with the practical application of grassroots agricultural field.

Abstract:Information technology(IT) is the core component of precision agriculture.Based on the achievement of "the Seminar on Significant IT-related Scientific Problems in Precision Agriculture",this paper addresses the concept of precision agriculture and the information technology involved.Specifically,the paper analyzes the domestic and overseas current situation and development trends of farming information acquisition techniques in precision agriculture,crop growth simulation model and regulation,intelligent agricultural decision support system,equipments technology and products in precision agriculture,and so on, and particularly puts forward prior funded fields in the next 5 to 10 years.

Abstract:The transformation and upgrading of traditional agriculture are required to address its shortcomings and deficiencies, which have resulted in environmental pollution or water problems. Precision agriculture emerged at the historic moment to solve the current problems. Field information collection, information management and decision-making, and execution systems are the three key links of precision fertilization and irrigation. The technical principle and application of field information acquisition systems are analyzed. The information management and decision-making system describes the management and summary of information in crop growth. The execution system combines the knowledge of various disciplines and experts for targeted applications to specific crops. It further focuses on the core implementation system, that is, variable fertilization technology and variable spraying technology that can realize variable operations. Major contributions from different countries, institutions, corresponding authors, and journals are presented in detail. This study proposes several suggestions and ideas based on the research status and progress of the three key systems to provide a theoretical basis and technical support for the research and development of key technologies and innovative devices of precision agricultural fertilization and irrigation.

Abstract:Every country, including China, is deeply concerned and interested in the topic of agricultural machinery automation. The world's population is growing at an astronomical rate, and as a result, the need of food is also growing at an astronomical rate. Farmers are forced to apply more toxic pesticides since traditional methods are not up to the task of meeting the rising demand. This has a major impact on agricultural practices, and in the long run, the land becomes barren and unproductive. Intelligent technologies such as Internet of Things, wireless communication, and machine learning can help with crop disease and pesticide storage management, as well as water management and irrigation. In this paper, we design and analyze an intelligent system that automatically predicts the agricultural land features for irrigation purpose. Initially, the dataset is collected and preprocessed using normalization. The features are extracted using principal component analysis (PCA). For automatic prediction by the equipment, we propose heterogeneous fuzzy-based artificial neural network (HF-ANN) with genetic quantum spider monkey optimization (GQ-SMO) algorithm. Analyses and comparisons are made between the proposed approach and current methodologies. The findings indicate the effectiveness of the proposed system.

Abstract:Fron the development of agricultural production and natural science, the conceptual framework of agricultural information system engineering was put forward after discussion of the formstion, concepts and components of agricultural information science and agricultural information technology. The reality and function of agricultural information technology in China was summarized in 5 aspects: agricultural resources, agricultural disaster, crop yield estimation, environmental monitoring and evaluation, and agricultural production management and technological consultation. There were 4 main problems in the development of agricultural information technology under current situation. At last some suggestions were made on developing the agricultural information technology.

Abstract:In the era of 21st century, agriculture is facing many challenges now-a-days to feed the world population. The population growth is increasing day by day and it expected to cross 10 billion by 2050. Agriculture farming plays significant role in growth of Indian economy. India stands second in farm production all over the world. After the green revolution, India face production loss with an estimate of US$ 36 billion. The agriculture production decreases mainly because of insect pests, diseases and weeds in important agricultural crops. Hence, there is a need of transition in farming system to adopt advanced and innovative technologies for more and sustainable production. In recent years Artificial intelligence gained popularity in agriculture and provides solutions in several areas like big data analysis, pest and disease forewarning models, mobile applications in IPM, Information and ICT based crop-advisory system, insect detection, pest and disease identification, etc. In the proposed paper, AI based applications discussed in detail to provide insights into innovative technologies and pave the way for knowledge dissemination and adoption of AI based technologies for more effective crop production and protection.

Abstract:The role of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in enhancing the effectiveness of agricultural extension programs in India, providing a comprehensive examination of its integration and impacts. Agricultural extension services are crucial for imparting vital agricultural knowledge and practices among farmers to improve productivity and sustainability. The adoption of ICT tools such as e-learning platforms, mobile applications, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and real-time monitoring technologies has revolutionized these services, offering unprecedented access to information and advisory services directly to farmers. The review highlights significant advances, including the deployment of mobile communication tools and social media platforms that enhance interaction between farmers and agricultural experts. However, the implementation of ICT in agricultural extensions is not without challenges. Infrastructural limitations, economic constraints, cultural and social barriers, and policy and regulatory issues pose significant hurdles. Future perspectives suggest that emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and blockchain could further influence agricultural practices positively. Policy recommendations emphasize the need for robust digital infrastructure, enhanced regulatory frameworks, and increased focus on research and development to mitigate gaps and foster a conducive environment for the adoption of ICT. By addressing these challenges and opportunities, India can better leverage ICT to bolster its agricultural sector, thus ensuring higher productivity, improved sustainability, and greater food security. This paper underscores the transformative potential of ICT in agriculture, advocating for strategic initiatives to maximize its benefits across the Indian agricultural landscape.

Abstract:In recent years, the agricultural sector has been undergoing a new "green revolution" characterized by the increasing use of information and communication technology (ICT) and the transition from traditional farming methods to smart agricultural practices, also known as Agriculture 4.0. Robotics, combined with the use of drones, the emerging field of the Internet of Things (IoT), machine learning, and artificial intelligence, are now being deployed in digital transformation services in agriculture, aiming to optimize crop performance and agricultural sustainability. According to research and international literature, the new trends are now oriented towards the development of global and state-of-the-art connected agricultural systems through digital management platforms, with the goal of facilitating the flow of data and information. Although many efforts are being made to implement smart agriculture, there are still challenges that require further research.

Abstract:The objective of this paper is to introduce the recent research progress and future prospect of digital farming techniques. Digital farming is to develop the key techniques and application systems for acquisition, analysis, management and utilization of information in crop production system by comprehensively using digital techniques and realizing digital expression and integration of information flow in crop production system. In recent years, thorough and systematic research work on the key techniques and application systems of digital farming have been carried out in Hi-tech Key Laboratory of Information Agriculture of Jiangsu Province, and remarkable advances have been achieved in the areas of crop growth simulation model, crop management knowledge model, non-destructive crop growth monitoring, spatial information management in crop production system, and decision support system for digital crop management. The future prospect of digital farming is directed toward informationization and digitalization of crop production components and processes, by comprehensive development of the key techniques for information management of agricultural resources, automatic monitoring of crop conditions, digital simulation of crop processes, visual design of crop plants, quantitative expression of farming knowledge, and precision control of production management. Further, the integrative software and hardware systems on the basis of digital farming techniques will be constructed for realizing digitalization, precision, visualization and network service in monitoring, prediction, design, management and control of crop production system. Digitalization of farming system will facilitate the informationization and modernization of agricultural industry.

Abstract:This research article explores the role of smart farming technologies in improving crop yields and resource efficiency from a global perspective. Utilizing a qualitative methodology involving literature review and library research, the study aims to examine the various smart farming technologies and their impact on agricultural productivity and sustainability. The literature review encompasses a wide range of sources, including scholarly articles, reports, and case studies, to provide a comprehensive understanding of smart farming technologies. By synthesizing existing research, the article identifies key technologies such as precision agriculture, Internet of Things (IoT) sensors, drones, and data analytics, and examines their applications in enhancing crop yields and resource management. The findings highlight the significant contributions of smart farming technologies in optimizing agricultural practices, minimizing resource wastage, and maximizing efficiency. Through precision farming techniques and real-time monitoring systems, farmers can make data-driven decisions regarding irrigation, fertilization, and pest control, leading to improved crop quality and higher yields. Moreover, the study discusses the potential challenges and barriers to the adoption of smart farming technologies, including cost, infrastructure, and digital literacy issues, particularly in developing countries. It also explores the importance of supportive policies, capacity building initiatives, and public-private partnerships in facilitating the widespread adoption of these technologies.

Abstract:The potential benefits of applying information and communication technology (ICT) in precision agriculture to enhance sustainable agricultural growth were discussed in this review article. The current technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI), as well as their applications, must be integrated into the agricultural sector to ensure long-term agricultural productivity. These technologies have the potential to improve global food security by reducing crop output gaps, decreasing food waste, and minimizing resource use inefficiencies. The importance of collecting and analyzing big data from multiple sources, particularly in situ and on-the-go sensors, is also highlighted as an important component of achieving predictive decision making capabilities in precision agriculture and forecasting yields using advanced yield prediction models developed through machine learning. Finally, we cover the replacement of wired-based, complicated systems in infield monitoring with wireless sensor networks (WSN), particularly in the agricultural sector, and emphasize the necessity of knowing the radio frequency (RF) contributing aspects that influence signal intensity, interference, system model, bandwidth, and transmission range when creating a successful Agricultural Internet of Thing Ag-IoT system. The relevance of communication protocols and interfaces for presenting agricultural data acquired from sensors in various formats is also emphasized in the paper, as is the function of 4G, 3G, and 5G technologies in IoT-based smart farming. In response to this pressing need, the infusion of intelligent technologies emerges as a pivotal solution, poised not only to boost production but also to meet the burgeoning demand. This transformative approach encompasses a spectrum of cutting-edge tools, including Remote Sensing and GIS, Aeroponics, Drone Technology, Biotechnology, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and, ultimately, Robotics.
