Abstract:The "end of history" is a subjective proposition about actual social history made in light of the intrinsic and cultural logic of capital. It urgently needs to draw on Marx's theory of human emancipation for inspiration to transcend the historical limitations of capitalism. Through study of civil society, Marx came to the logical conclusion that this society will necessarily be overcome. The process of overcoming civil society is at the same time one of transcending political emancipation and advancing towards human emancipation. Political emancipation and human emancipation as the "two leaps forward" in social development make overall history in the sense of types logically divide into three stages, namely pre-capitalism, capitalism and communism, that are inherently connected with Marx's theory of "three major forms" in social development, i.e. societies respectively featuring personal dependence, objective dependence, and all-round development of individuals. The fact that this theory is concerned with the circumstances of man's development and the degree of his emancipation determines that the theory of human emancipation also sheds light on the field of social forms, and that human emancipation and the evolution of social form are really two aspects of a single process. With the historical orientation of the self-improvement of socialism, the Chinese people are seeking, in their theoretical and practical explorations, an approach to realizing human emancipation, one that will offer experience with fresh significance for world history in the huge transition in the form of human society.

Abstract:Reflection on and criticism of enlightenment reason is an indispensable part of the Enlightenment itself. It is an important counterbalance to the Enlightenment myth and the crisis of modernity, as well as being a major theoretical subject for political philosophy in the age of globalization. This reflection and criticism must be grasped and examined from both the external perspective of socio-historical requirements and the internal perspective of intellectual history. While giving full credit to the achievements of Enlightenment reason and modernity, we need to review their inherent conflicts, reveal the resultant social crisis, and sort out, reflect on and reference postmodernism's denunciation of Enlightenment reason and the crisis of modernity in order to provide a more far-reaching solution to these issues. Marx turned the critique of Enlightenment reason and modernity into a critical reconstruction of the logic of capital and the capitalist mode of production, seeing the resolution of these evils as lying in transcendence of capitalist private ownership. In this way, he brought the critique of Enlightenment reason to a climax and showed modern society a way to more advanced development.

Abstract:Labor value is a power of social relationship carried by labor products. It is the root of all political power in hierarchy society,and it is a source of market power which allocates the production factors in market system. Once converted into money,the product market power contained in it would get free from products charring it and become a pure general market power. And when it inputs into the production process as investments,it would become the power of capital through its carrier forms,ie,the production factors in the production process. The capital power is the concentrated manifestation of market power of value of labor,controls workers through means of production,and distributes the surplus value created by workers. The capitals in whole society split all value produced by the society as a whole through market competition,and also a variety of non-market powers( such as land ownership,etc.) enter the market to divide the surplus value,thus generating a social power structure of market system,which would causing the prices of commodities deviate from their value,and this deviation shows as the"spectrum of market power structure".

Abstract:In "On Capital" and its manuscripts,Karl Marx went to the level of the economic movement of commodity value and surplus value and concretely and historically analyzed such important problems as essential determination,concrete forms and inner composition of material production and productive forces,their decisive or primacy role on social existence and historical development,and the relation between objective decisiveness and subjective activity,thus giving microscopic support with empirical facts and positive data to the macroscopic conclusions of historical materialism.This indicated that remaining at the level of "The German Ideology" was inadequate for concretely,not abstractly,comprehending and grasping the core categories and fundamental tenets of historical materialism.Promoting the research of historical materialism based on "On Capital" and its manuscripts,the situation which Marxist theory has been divided into philosophy,political economy and scientific socialism must be broken,and conduct studies of the literature in Marxist textology and documetology must be laid stress on.

Abstract:Purpose In the new development stage of comprehensively building a socialist modern state, it is imperative to adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, comprehensively summarize China's practical experiences in economic development, strengthen research on capital issues, construct theories of socialist political economy with Chinese characteristics regarding capital and provide scientific theoretical guidance for further promoting the positive role of various types of capital while preventing and overcoming their negative effects, which is a major theoretical issue and a glorious task for the theoretical and economic circles in China. Design/methodology/approach From the perspective of Marx's theory on capital and historical development, modern capital represents the organizational mode of socialized mass production and market economy. It serves as both the economic foundation of bourgeois society and a tool for socialist economic development. Findings The market economy represents an inevitable historical stage and form of socialist economic development, necessitating the adoption of capital as an organizational form within socialist economies. Originality/value The utilization of capital to advance a socialist economy is a remarkable achievement by the CPC and Chinese people, representing a significant innovation in both theory and practice. The role of capital is inherently dual under any social condition. In the context of a socialist system, capital can play a positive role effectively, and its behavior can be guided and regulated correctly to curb its negative or even destructive impact.

Abstract:Marx' and Engels' lifelong though unfinished efforts lie in their understanding and critique of capitalism, which resulted in such classics as Das Kapital, an exemplar for analyzing capitalism via its particular mode of production. Five phases can be distinguished in the historical development of this exemplar: 1) Before 1844: Criticizing Prussian feudalism in light of bourgeois revolution and making the burgerliche Gesellschaft the departure point for study; 2) From 1844 to the spring of 1845: Probing into political economics and revealing the capitalism, through the theory of entfremdete Arbeit, as an inhuman, disintegrated and industry-dominating society; 3) From the spring of 1845 to 1849: Inquiring scientifically the material production, viewing capitalist society from a historical perspective, and considering the class struggle as the means of realizing communism; 4) From 1850 to the end of 1860s: Restudying economics, starting with Das Kapital, making clear, through analyzing the surplus value, the overall control of social life by the capital and establishing a classic exemplar for the understanding of capitalism; 5) developing the theories of changing capitalism and that of anthropological studies in Marx' and Engels' late years.

Abstract:Significance of Capital in the history of Marxist philosophy can be shown by the application of mature historical materialism in the system of economic logic and can be understood as a new stage of Marxist philosophy of new materialism. On Feuerbach's Outline defines specific process of social life with the concept of active practice; German Ideology explains the essence of the specific process; Economic Manuscript between 1857 and 1858 expounds deeply the essential content of the process from the dialectical unity of subject and object. Whereas, Capital, especially the third volume, accomplishes the theoretical mission of showing the essence in the specific process so the book can be called the fourth development stage of Marxist philosophy of new materialism.

Abstract:The disintegration of the Soviet Union does not mean the death of socialist system and Lenin's thought, but rather a new era of the understanding of Lenins thought. Lenins theory of capitalism is a key to our grasp of his thought with its contemporary meaning and value. With 1914 as a dividing line, Lenin's theory of capitalism underwent paradigmatically two different phases: that of developing capitalism in the perspective of theory of liberal capitalism and democratic social criticism, and that of state monopolistic capitalism in the perspective of theory of post-imperialism and proletarian revolution. Though Lenin's prediction " Imperialism is the final stage of capitalism" was not proven in the course of history, there still exist characters of monopolistic imperialism in the present-day capitalism worldwide. State monopoly and transnational monopoly are still basic structures and realities of the capitalist world. In the context of globalization, many grave issues of Marxism have to be renewed in the historical and logical perspective of Lenin's theory of capitalism.
