Die besten Ergebnisse (57–73 % Ausbeute) wurden mit trans-[RhCl(CO)(PPh3)2] als Katalysator in Toluol erzielt (siehe Schema; E=CN, CO2Me, SO2Ph, Ts=Toluol-4-sulfonyl).
