Abstract:The model of sediment yield on hillslope units is the basis for the soil-erosion prediction.Based on the theory of sediment transport mechanics,and the analysis of main factors,as well as their hydraulic relationships on ideal slopes,a formula which can predict the amount of sediment yield is built.Compared with several experimental results,it proved that the structure of the formula is reasonable,and it can serve as sediment yield prediction model when the coefficient is determined.
