BIOMECHANICS OF FLIP AND LOOP JUMPS IN FIGURE SKATING

Abstract:Using Alier system and three-dimensional DLT,three-dimensional track point test on movement of flip jump and loop jump by Chinese athletes and top foreign athletes have been conducted at China Figure Skating Championship of International Skating Union.Parameters such as distance-time and velocitytime in vertical direction of body gravity center were compared between Chinese athletes and foreign athletes,it was suggested that the horizontal speed in taking off should be increased in Chinese athletes,which will provide a yardstick for forecasting and prospecting new difficult movements.
