Abstract:To meet the needs of informatization construction of textile enterprises and solve the problems of changeful business processes and multisystem cooperation,a business process management(BPM)-based production management system was designed.With the principals of workflow management and enterprise application integration,business process automation and information system integration were achieved for the system.The results indicate that the system can manage the process effectively and promote the flow of information.The system can modify business processes quickly when the business processes needed modification.Those fully demonstrate the feasibility and superiority of the production management system.

Abstract:Although EDI (electronic data Interchange) have provided auseful method to the automated message Interchanging betweenenterprises, this method costs a lot of money and resources, thereis a new technology named ebXML(Electronic Business usingeXtensible Markup Language) BPSS(Business Process SpecificationSchema) which provides a more easy way to integrate the wholebusiness process. Ebxml BPSS supports the specification of theset of elements required to configure a runtime system in order toexecute a set of ebXML business transactions. Ebxml BPSSdescribes which message should be interchanged and how tointerchange, and provides a set of specification for the process automation. In this study, we propose a federated multi-agentssystem, which can implement the business process, and describea detailed mechanism to apply the BPS to a prototypeimplementation.

Abstract:To achieve standard and coherent management at different levels within enterprises, and realize the seamless integration of Business Process Management (BPM) cross enterprises, a new BPM architecture was proposed. After the concept and function of BPM system were presented, the architecture was built on two popular BPM architectures. The architecture focused on the following three aspects: the level of business management, the supply chain management and the product lifecycle management. In this architecture, various business management levels ,domains and cross organizations were maintained in a standard manner, and information technology was utilized to fulfill it. Then the key technology to implement the BPM system was discussed, and the BPM technology was compared to the workflow technology, (EAI) technology and Enterprise Resource Plan (ERP) technology, concentrating on their differences and relationships. Finally it is concluded that BPM is the development trend of enterprise information system architecture in the next generation.

Abstract:E-collaboration and collaborative systems bring geographically dispersed teams together, and support communication, coordination and cooperation among the enterprises. Based on the collaborative design system developed by the author's lab for some automotive parts company in China, several key technologies for developing enterprise collaborative manufacturing platform (ECMP) are presented. A multi-layer architecture of ECMP is established, and the workflow of ECMP is designed. The application integration with Web services technology is explained. A four-layered ontology model for information description in ECMP is proposed. The method of constructing dynamic alliance based on multi-agent theory, and the strategies of task scheduling optimization are discussed. Finally, an application case of ECMP prototypical system is introduced

Abstract:Business Process Management has been put forward for no less than twenty-five years, but researches on its effect on organizational development are inconsistent to each other. In this paper, we cautiously reviewed studies on effects of BPM on organization performance, analyzed the reason of confliction among them, and finally advanced a resolution by constructing the model of Integrated Business Process Management. Through redefining the Business process management on a more integrated perspective, we propose that the essence of integrated BPM not only includes process construction and improvement through related sets of techniques, but also connects people operating on the processes. Discussion and conclusion are made finally.

Abstract:Based on analysis of collaborative business process,45 collaborative patterns for different collaborative business processes were summarized.Seven basic collaborative patterns regarding bi-lateral interaction and collaborations were presented.By studying several common extended patterns such as acknowledgements,permission assignment and withdrawn,multi-lateral collaborations,and 38 extended collaborative patterns were concluded.Basic application scenarios of these basic and extended patterns were also described.Petri nets were used to provide the formal representations for these collaborative patterns.

Abstract:To facilitate business collaboration and interoperation among enterprises, it is critical to discover and reuse appropriate business processes modelled in different languages and stored in different repositories. Therefore, it is a challenge to register them in a unified manner without changing their original representations and semantics. This paper proposes a reference metamodel for process model registration (PMR) to register selected metadata and semantics of heterogeneous business processes. PMR is mainly designed to register business process automatically, facilitate the semantic discovery of business processes across enterprises, and promote process interoperation and business collaboration. Considering the popularity of BPEL in business process description, our approach takes BPEL as an example to illustrate how to specify the mappings from BPEL to PMR when performing PMR-based registration of business processes in a specific modelling language. Finally, a prototype of web-based business process registration tool named PMRegister is developed to demonstrate the feasibility and capability of our approach.

Abstract:Product lifecycle management (PLM) is a uniform and integrated platform to support company operation. The integration of product data, the process and application are studied efficiently in this paper. Through constructing PDM platform, the nodes of BOM are applied to reengineer, restructure and extend, which forms the new structure-tree of data so as to realize the data-shared for the design, manufacture, sale, maintenance till callback throughout the whole PLM. On the basis of process integration, the paper adopts WBS to build the process modeling of system function, technology, action, organizing and resource aspects, and then complete the dynamic process management of interrelated systems. Abstract:Increased customer demands for product diversity and flooding new technologies bring new challenges to manufacturers. Enterprise has to handle flexible business processes, and must provide fluent collaborative information acquisition and exchange channels. Corporate Portal and Business Process Management system are both commonly used for collaborative work supporting. The former provides organization with a rich and complex shared information workspace for knowledge creation, exchange, retention and reuse, while the latter provides all-around supporting for process design, enact, control and optimization. This paper argues that a combination of these two systems call serve collaborative workers more efficiently. A corporate portal system enhanced with process management functionality is introduced. Process context based knowledge supplying technique is adopted for more intelligent knowledge management. Our efforts have turned the corporate portal from a passive information-sharing environment into a comprehensive collaborative work supporting platform and oil active knowledge assistant.

Abstract:Business process management (BPM) is an approach to integrate all business resources to meet what the clients need. While current BPM researches focus on business process modeling, definition, the process control mechanism is less discussed. In view of the dynamic nature of business process, the control mechanism requires more flexibility. In order to reduce the complexity of business process, this paper designs and proposes a resource state based process control mechanism to manage the business workflow. First we present our resource oriented business model to constitute our workflow, then we take advantage of finite state machine to control the resource flow by combining all business related resources and states together to constitute our business places. Finally we give a simple case to verify that the method presented is valid and effective. This method improves the controlling efficiency by transferring the emphasis from business services to resources, thus avoiding the variable nature of business service and provides more accuracy.

Abstract:Business process management (BPM) aims to optimize business processes to achieve better system performance such as higher profit, quicker response, and better services. BPM systems in Industry 4.0 are required to digitize and automate business process workflows and support the transparent interoperations of service vendors. The critical bottleneck to advance BPM systems is the evaluation, verification, and transformation of trustworthiness and digitized assets. Most of BPM systems rely heavily on domain experts or third parties to deal with trustworthiness. In this paper, an automated BPM solution is investigated to select and compose services in open business environment, Blockchain technology (BCT) is explored and proposed to transfer and verify the trustiness of businesses and partners, and a BPM framework is developed to illustrate how BCT can be integrated to support prompt, reliable, and cost-effective evaluation and transferring of Quality of Services in the workflow composition and management.

Abstract:The goals of B2B electronic commerce and supply chain management system are to implement interoperability of independent enterprises, to smooth the information flow between them and to deploy business processes over multiple enterprises. The inherent characteristics of workflow system make it suitable to implement the cross organization management. This paper, firstly, proposes an inter-enterprises workflow model based on the agreement to support the construction of supply chain management system and B2B electronic commerce. This model has extended the standard workflow model. After that, an architecture which supports the model has been introduced, especially it details the structure and implementation of interfaces between enterprises.

Abstract:Business Process Management is often associated with software to manage, control, and support operational processes. And in order to meet dynamic and new business needs with flexible information technology solutions, more and more enterprises intend to build their own IT infrastructure under Service Oriented Architecture. Currently analyzing and refining the existing business process models for configuring enterprise information system is a hot area of research. In our approach, we apply the process mining technology to the event logs to discover the scenarios, each of which mainly consists of task originators, sub-process (ordering of service invocations) and business objects. Based on composition of these scenarios, the enterprise is able to redesign the process models and combine closely the business process with the services provided by different application systems in SOA. When new business requirements emerge, solution designers can devise a flexibly composite process that makes the best use of existing scenarios and glue the scenarios together with least augmentation or modification.

Abstract:This paper aims to introduce, compare and contrast various commonly used business process management (BPM) tools (suites). In the first section, this research reviews the adoption of BPM tools in the industry with some concrete examples and descriptions. The continuous development trend and the benefits of integrating BPM tools into the businesses are presented. The project will then review the academic literature on BPM that would cover BPM's definition, the development of BPM theories, and the associated tools. Three BPM tools, namely Bizagi BPM Suite, ProcessMaker and Flokzu, analyse specifically will be analysed in this paper, in detail with a real business process as an example. A method adjusted from Vuksic et al. 's (2007) guidelines for selecting discrete event simulation (DES) tools will be used to evaluate and compare the BPM tools. This paper found that among the tools evaluated, Bizagi and Flokzu have a more intuitive user interface and process maker is the least user-friendly tool. Bizagi is recommended for large and middle-sized organisations and Flokzu for smaller organisations.
