Abstract:High biological toxicity, low reused efficiency, serious pollution, complex treatment process and high treatment cost were the typical characteristics of copper wastewater. The summary revealed advanced progress in treatment and resource utilization of copper containing wastewater. For summarizing features, advantages and disadvantages of various methods, the review analyzed precipitation, adsorption, electrochemistry, wet oxidation-reduction, ion exchange and Fe/C micro electrolysis. It pointed out that the scheme of integration of special combination processes with resource utilization was the key development direction.

Abstract:Agricultural waste was used for heavy metal ions removal from wastewater.It was considered as a new method for treatment of heavy metal ions in wastewater.Its major advantages over conventional treatment methods included:low cost,high efficiency and regeneration of biosorption.This paper summarized studies on heavy metal ions removal from wastewater using various agricultural waste in recent years,especially underscored the mechanism and models,and several heavy metals removal,like Pb,Cd,Ni,Cu,Zn,Mn and Hg,in order to provide theoretical guidance of using agricultural waste for removal heavy metal ions from wastewater.

Abstract:Current situation and sources of heavy metal pollution were summarized,and research progress of various remediation technologies for contaminated groundwater was reviewed.Some suggestions on preventing and controlling heavy metal pollution in groundwater were proposed for further research.In in-situ biological remediation technologies,some functional microorganisms such as Geobacter and Shewanella,which deserved attention,could produce nanowire under certain conditions,getting rid of the restrictions of direct contact of microbial extracellular electron acceptor.Those microorganisms enhanced degradation efficiency,holding great orosoects in future application.

Abstract:Heavy metal pollution did an extreme harm to environment and human health.According to the different of element type,content and the existence forms,different methods can be used in wastewater treatment of heavy metal.The progress in the heavy metal pollution treatments in water was described,such as the traditional chemical methods,physical-chemical methods and biological methods.Finally,a brief discussion on future developments was proposed.The methods of physical-chemical and biological flocculants were pointed out,which had wild prospect application of heavy metal pollution water treatment.Combine process was a feasible method in improving efficiency of heavy metals separating.

Abstract:The discharge of wastewater containing heavy-metal ions is the main source of water pollution, which has caused serious water resource crisis. Therefore, the preparation of new materials with an adequate adsorption effect, simple operation, and recoverability has always attracted research interest. In recent years, many methods, such as precipitation, membrane filtration, adsorption, photocatalysis, and microfluidics, have been reported for the removal of heavy-metal ions from wastewater. This paper comprehensively details the research status and development trend of several common heavy-metal-ion wastewater treatment technologies and outlines the shortcomings of each technology in practical application. It aims to provide a useful basis for the development of economical and efficient new wastewater treatment technologies.

Abstract:Heavy metal pollution has become one of the most serious environmental problems in the world today. Due to the persistence and recalcitrance in the environment, the treatment of heavy metals is of special concern. In recent years, various methods for the removal of heavy metal from soil, waste water have been extensively studied. This paper has reviewed the current methods that have been used to control and removal heavy metals from the polluted soil, wastewater and some other substances.These technologies include chemical remediation, physics remediation and bioremediation. The chemical remediation methods include drip washing method, consolidation and stabilization method and ameliorant method. The ameliorant method is considered as the best method in the chemical remediation. The physics remediation methods include the revising soil method, microwave heat remediation method and the electrokinetic remediation method.Electrokinetic remediation method is one of the newest methods in the world. The bioremediation methods include the plant remediation, the animal remediation and the microorganism remediation. The plant remediation methods contain the plant extract, the plant volatilization and the plant stabilization. It is considered that the plant remediation is widely adopted for removal of the heavy metals from the soil and the microorganism remediation method is the hotspot in all the control and remediation technology.

Abstract:Metal ions have been one of the main pollutive sources. The treatment methods, such as chemical precipitation, ion exchange, adsorption, biological treatment, and membrane separation for treating wastewater with low concentrated metal ions are summarized. The advantages and disadvantages of various methods are compared comprehensively. It is pointed out that using ion exchange for treating wastewater with low concentrated mental ions is prone to realizing industrialization and automation,which is the trend of the future development. The synthetic of high performance chelating resin and the study of ion exchange equipment will be two research topics in the future. At the end, the current problems and the research direction of future development are prospected.

Abstract:Heavy metal wastewater poses a threat to human health and biodiversity. Among the treatment techniques, electrodeposition technique has attracted much attention in the removal and recovery of metal ions in wastewater because of its cleanliness, wide range of uses and high stability. It is found that the papers on metal recovery by electrodeposition at home and abroad have shown an upward trend in the past decade, indicating that electrodeposition technique is still one of the hotspots in current study and has great research potential in wastewater treatment. However, the single electrodeposition process has great limitations, so it is necessary to couple it with other processes to improve metal recovery and reduce energy consumption. In this paper, the core factors affecting metal recovery by electrodeposition were analyzed, including electrode material, electrochemical reactor design, operation parameters and influent quality. Then, the research progress on the coupling of electrodeposition with other electrochemical methods, membrane process, ultrasound, adsorption/extraction and other processes was further summarized. Finally, the problems and challenges of metal recovery by electrodeposition were discussed, and the future development direction of metal recovery by electrodeposition was put forward.

Abstract:The heavy metal pollution constitutes a critical environmental issue. This has stimulated intensive efforts to develop treatment techniques for their removal from wastewater, including adsorption, membrane separation, precipitation/electrodeposition, ion exchange, coagulation-flocculation, flotation/electroflotation, solvent extraction, catalysis, and bioremediation. This article provides a comprehensive review on the advances in those techniques with the focus on the recent decade (2013-2023). It shows that the adsorption has attracted the most attention and membrane filtration the second, followed by precipitation and ion exchange. Interests in bioremediation and electrochemical treatments as well as catalysis are expected to increase in the future. Furthermore, the combination of different processes is a promising strategy to develop efficient hybrid technologies.
