Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to elaborate the key process of knowledge management in Distributed Innovation (DI) processes. It outlines a model of knowledge management process in DI processes, especially in MNCs, and identifies different factors which have remarkable impact on the innovation outcome. Specifically, it argues that the key processes or activities of DI can be divided into two categories. Abstract:This paper intends to provide insights to a better understanding of knowledge management (KM) and its implementation. Firstly, what concerns the possibility of influencing innovation and competitiveness is analyzed; subsequently, this paper focuses on how to implement KM within an enterprise so as to enhance the core competence, in today's knowledge economy era, human capital, structure capital and market capital are the primary raw material of an enterprise, thus, in this paper, how to manage these capital is studied and illustrated; meanwhile, a knowledge management system (KMS) developed by the author is illustrated, besides, other key technologies in implementing KM such as methodology for knowledge quantification, knowledge modeling, the structure and culture for knowledge sharing and innovation are summarized.

Abstract:In the knowledge economy the one sure source of lasting competitive advantage is knowledge. In the theoretical field, interest in knowledge management has grown dramatically. In the business community, organizations are coming to regard knowledge-based intangible assets such as technological know-how and innovation as their most valuable and strategic resource, and they are also increasingly realizing that they must effectively and efficiently manage and cultivate their knowledge and competencies to maintain sustainable competitive advantage. However, there is scarcity on knowledge strategy toward dynamically integrating technological innovation with knowledge management in academic and practical domain. Therefore, based on some theories such as technological innovation, strategic management, transaction cost economics, organizational learning and knowledge management, the framework of knowledge strategy and the model of knowledge-based communities of creation are put forward and analyzed empirically in this paper. Several important knowledge management practices to push technological innovation process are discussed.

Abstract:According to the problems in Chinese enterprise technology innovation, a concept of smarter enterprise innovation network was proposed, which has three characteristics: (1) The value of knowledge, information for experts inside and outside enterprise, information of the market changes and user's demand are more insightfully perceived; (2) The information among the knowledge life cycle, internal and external enterprise knowledge, behavior of employee knowledge sharing and innovation activities, knowledge suppliers and demanders, knowledge and the innovation process are communicated much comprehensively; (3) Knowledge management system become more intelligent though building the dynamic relationship between the knowledge and persons, which means the more usage of the system, the smarter it would be. Implementation methods for the smarter enterprise innovation network were presented: (1) Managing, tracking and monitoring the life cycle of the knowledge: According to the knowledge application result, the appropriate incentives are given to knowledge contributors; Evaluation of knowledge and staffs is combined, so that the knowledge network will be more ordered, and people will take part in construction and evaluation of knowledge network much responsibly and actively;(2) Rely on public assessment of knowledge: organizing related staffs to vote some knowledge for a particular evaluation; knowledge evaluation based on Wikipedia (Wiki) model; evaluation knowledge based on behavior of knowledge application by staff; (3) Combining the knowledge evaluation with the daily use of knowledge. There are some problems need to pay attention to: scoring standards for the behaviors of daily knowledge application; knowledge evaluation strategy for some possible cheating behaviors; knowledge evaluation strategy for some possible negative behaviors. The system based on this concept has been partly applied in a certain research institute.

Abstract:In order to solve the existing problems of enterprise in knowledge management and technology creation and to exert technology creation ability of enterprise, the developments of enterprise knowledge management technology and tool were studied. The knowledge management included four kinds of knowledge transformation process: socialization of knowledge, externalization of knowledge, transformation of knowledge and internalization of knowledge. These four processes required corresponding management technologies and tools. The knowledge management technology and its tool were of important significance to enterprise development. The main manifestation of the present developments of the knowledge management technology and tool included: utilizing Intranet/Extranet/Internet to extending the communication scope of implicit knowledge, establishing improved exciting mechanism, investigating knowledge map and knowledge highway which were technologies and tools to support knowledge management, using organization facing to process, and realizing management around the development and design even as well as the whole life period of the product.

Abstract:Knowledge management is an important topic for both researchers and practitioners. In a more complicated business environment, it is quite essential to explore the relations among information technology (IT) applications, organization's internal structure/culture, strategies, knowledge management, and the enterprise's innovation capabilities. This paper, based on the resource theory, proposed a conceptual model to investigate the potential relations. From data collected from 126 Chinese companies, this study finds that; 1) IT applications and organization's internal structure/culture have an indirect impact on a firm's innovation capability; 2) knowledge management is the key factor that affects the enterprise innovation capability; 3) A firm adopting future oriented strategies has stronger innovation capability than firms with defensive strategies.

Abstract:The core competency of an enterprise is often found in its capability of product and service innovation, which are created in the process of knowledge flow. Knowledge flow plays the key role in supporting the knowledge sharing, acquiring, exchanging, and new knowledge generating. To facilitate the flow of knowledge and to discover the hidden dynamics that support learning and adaptation in the modern organization, the concept of knowledge network is given in this paper. Also, the knowledge dependency model based on the knowledge network and its evolving mechanism is discussed in details. In the end, a framework of knowledge management implementation is proposed.

Abstract:This paper provides a conceptual framework to explore the linking mechanisms between customer knowledge management and IT-based business model innovation. With a case study from a Chinese leading telecommunications company, this paper attempts to empirically justify the model. In this conceptual model, three types of customer-related knowledge (i.e., knowledge about customer, knowledge from customer and knowledge for customer) contribute to value creation in business model innovation within different mechanisms. Meanwhile, IT increases knowledge accessibility for both firms and customers in value delivery, and enables firms to increase revenue streams with lower costs in value capture for business model innovation. The study links customer knowledge management research to business model innovation literature, and extends the customer knowledge management research through integrating both customer perspective and firm perspective. For practitioners, this study may help companies to understand the linking mechanisms and identify the opportunities of gaining benefit from bridging customer knowledge management and business model innovation. © 2013 Elsevier Ltd.

Since the origin of all tangible resources lies outside the firm, and outside resources cannot obtain the sustainable competitive advantage, it follows that competitive advantage is more likely to arise from the intangible firm-specific knowledge. Abstract:To solve new problems and difficulties faced in the process of knowledge management implementation in enterprises,the method of Knowledge Management Integrating Context(KMIC) was proposed,which integrated context with knowledge and knowledge processes through contextualization.Key technologies,including the construction technology of knowledge integration context model,context identification acquisition technology and context integration knowledge search retrieval technology,were studied to realize the KMIC method.With the support of these methods and technologies,a context-aware KMIC system was constructed,and a case was given to illustrate the application of this system.

Abstract:On the basis of Chinese and foreign innovation managements,a theoretical paradigm of innovation management,overall Innovation Management(OIM) was proposed.Orienting core competency and sustainable competitive advantages,and aiming at value creation/value added,OIM tried to realize the three "overall" and synergy by realizing overall synergy of all the innovation key elements,and by effective management mechanism and tools.By comparison of OIM with traditional pattern of innovation management,some similarities and differences were pointed out.It was argued that OIM is a new trend of innovation management and it would be very valuable for enterprises facing the increasingly intense competition,and the challenge of individualized customer's demands.
