Abstract:The basic quadratic electro-optic (EO) characterization of Pb(Mg 1/3 Nb 2/3 )O 3 -PbTiO 3 (PMN-PT) transparent ceramics is measured. The EO response is relatively flat, which is a merit for optical communication. Piezoelectric resonance was found in this quadratic EO ceramic materials and it give rise to a deflection of half-wave voltage versus frequency of operation.
